Following the successful completion of our previous project, Series S, and recent successful funding of Series M... We are proud to now launch our third brush range, Series D. The D, of course, stands for dry-brush! In its most simple form, dry-brushing is a painting technique that utilises the texture and volume of a model to pick up paint and highlight prominent details. This project is the result of questioning traditional tools and methods. For the first time ever, an alternatively designed drybrush has been produced purely for miniature painting. Series D rethinks and redefines drybrushing from the ground up.

Working in conjunction with two prolific and decorated painters and dry-brushing specialists, David Soper and Bohun, we are proud to have produced the finest quality dry-brushes that the miniature painting industry has ever seen. After 4 years of R&D, we are excited to finally bring you Series D: the rebirth of the dry-brush. With Series D brushes, you can achieve: Smoother volumes and flat areas, Perfect stippling, using the round head’s natural fade toward the edges, ‘Edge highlighting’ with minimal paint transfer on surrounding areas and more delicate dry-brushing, allowing for more subtlety, and looking after your models!

Pendraken Miniatures: Blitzkrieg Commander is one of the most popular WWII rulesets of the past decade with over 5000 copies sold so far. Our overriding intention with BKC-IV was to show a natural evolution from BCKII, retaining the best elements of BKC-III but at the same time remaining true to both the BKC tradition and the Commander series of rules mechanisms.  In addition, we’ve added new game mechanisms, incorporated several widely used, tried and tested ‘house rules’, as well as tidying up the army lists.  

The design of BKC-IV will allow players to choose between a more formalised and higher-level game, back (almost) to BCKI and BKCII in many ways; or to play a much more granular game, almost but not quite down to a skirmish level or 1:1 level game.  We have also added (by request) more Example Tables, for ease of play and quick reference.

Note that area movement is not optional: you cannot play these rules with inch measuring or measuring sticks. You need 30-48 areas (of any shape, the author suggest irregular) marked on your table. The rules are designed for fast, relaxed play among friends, not competitions. Bookkeeping is minimal. A typical large game requires two hours, including setup.

Combat is dramatic. Battle-lines clash into each other. Something happens on the table every turn. Troops die quickly. The rules are non-scale specific.You can use any figures in any scale. Use any models you already own, or build dedicated armies. Basing is flexible. Use any system you like.You can even mix basing systems. As long as you can count the units (either the heads of models or the number of stands), you can play. Table size is flexible. Terrains4Games: Tabletop Timber Framed Village Collection Kickstarter

Terrains4Games: Our goal is to create a village diorama that is complex, with a variety of parts: living quarters, outbuildings, public places like an inn, church, sheds, piles of extras (resin firewood, haystacks, benches) or fences. 

From classic fantasy through historical games, from late Middle Ages through the Renaissance, Napoleonic period up to WWII and beyond. Buildings with the Prussian wall (timber framed) can be seen in historical or fantasy films but also in reality. You can still come across them in Poland’s coastal area or Lower Silesia. There are many preserved in Germany and Austria therefore the models will be suitable for many eras and areas. In what scale? We have chosen three most popular scales: 28-32 mm, 20 mm (1/72), and 15 mm (1/100). All of the buildings were made (or will be made) in all these 3 scales. You can choose your size. Steepled Hat Studios: New Horror Blood/ Butchered Dices and Discounted Desert Empire Tower Kickstarter!

Steepled Hat Studios: We want to print a number of very unique d6 dice that are gruesome looking as well as have a board game / comic book feel to them. These are dice covered in blood, eyes, brains, hearts, feet, hands, and even a severed head. Each image will be printed on the side of the dice where the six lies. Check the full Kickstarter here

Each dice cube will have artistic cartoon body parts, blood, and dots printed on each side. We plan to commission the use of a large scale UV-printer to clearly imprint the images on each side. UV technology allows us to print the dice out with accuracy and clarity. The images printed with UV are the highest weather(fade and water)resistant method we could make use of and the high quality ink dries quickly which should allow us to make and fulfil pledge rewards relatively swiftly. 

We designed the dice images on 16mm sides but simply printing an image on each side was not enough. We created the printing images on each dice face to slightly exceed 16mm so that when we print the blood splatter image at the edge of each side, the image extends past the side's edge slightly and on to the side next to it. This blends in with the blood pattern image on the side next to it and gives an effect that the blood is connected and "flows" from one side to the next. This looks more realistic compared to having single pools of unconnected blood on each side. 

Of course, we're also offering our 25/28mm Desert Empire Guard Tower for a great deal in this Kickstarter to further help fund the dice.  I think for wargamers that this deal is nice since it is only $55.00 CAD and includes Free shipping worldwide!
