Second Escape Games: World War Two Game: No Easy Ground - Exclusive Discount Code Inside!
Second Escape Games: Second Escape Games has just (re)launched a set of WWII company-size tabletop wargaming rules. No Easy Ground is the latest edition of what many wargamers will recognise as Iron Cross. Iron Cross was originally published by Great Escape Games in 2012 and has built a loyal following since it was first released.
No Easy Ground is a company-sized game that can be played in under two hours. There is no fixed scale, or unit size, so players can use whatever miniatures they already have. Armies from Bolt Action and Flames of War both work well. The company has announced plans to launch some figure ranges towards the end of 2026, which will accompany the first campaign book.
The 100-page full colour rulebook features lots of illustrations and photos, plus examples of how the rules work. The rulebook is accompanied by a deck of 56 “tactical cards”, which add an element of uncertainty and randomness to the game, and a range of gaming tokens.
Second Escape Games is offering a 5% discount to Wargame News and Terrain readers, which can be accessed here (link here) Some of the product bundles also feature additional discounts.
The exclusive code for you to use is: wargamenews2026
· All customers
· 5% off rule books, cards and the gaming bundles (which feature other discounts too)
· Minimum purchase of £15.00
· No usage limits
· Can’t combine with other discounts
· Active until 31st December 2026

Ostfront Publishing: New Infiltrate: Vietnam (Co-op / Solo) Skirmish Rules
Ostfront Publishing: Imagine a blend of Rangers of Shadow Deep and Metal Gear Solid, but deep in the Jungles of Vietnam, and across the fence into Laos and Cambodia... a deniable mission with limited support. Check these brand new rules here
Infiltrate: Vietnam is a co-operative skirmish wargame, aimed at 15 – 28mm miniatures and designed to represent special forces and insurgent operations in the jungles of Vietnam in the 1960s and 70s. You will choose your weapons, you will track your ammo, and you will bring back the vital intelligence we require to win this war, either by force, by cunning, or both.
This game is designed for 2-4 players, or for solo play, and will see a small squad of special forces or NVA/VC soldiers working against AI flowchart controlled enemies. The mechanics are a blend of simple and granular, making for a realistic and dangerous experience where players will need to use stealth and choose when to use force. Firing and running near enemies will cause them to react, and in some missions can cause more enemies to enter the area...
The game is played as a campaign - players generate their operatives, then attempt to survive as many missions as possible. There are 9 mission types to choose from, and the available missions will be randomly determined in either low risk, medium risk, or high risk. Enemy forces will become more powerful as the risk level increases, and random events more deadly. Players can play as MACV-SOG, Navy SEALs, LRRPs, Green Berets, ANZACs, Montagnards, Vietcong or NVA.
Features realistic weapon and ammunition weights, and players will have a limit of how much weight they can take into battle. Players will find loot after missions, and may be forced to forage or subsist on captured weapons if they run low. The rules include all the character sheets, tokens and templates required for play. There are different random event and loot tables for each side, with random events such as enemy tanks, unknown helicopters, enemy squads, sudden rainstorms, tigers, centipedes, or maybe just hearing a lizard saying "f*ck you... f*ck you..."
Suitable modular plastic miniatures for these brand new Vietnam rules are available from Rubicon Models. Check these discounted miniatures here and find US Army, USMC Marines, Vietcong and much more such as vehicles for your games there.
