Khurasan Miniatures: New 15mm Khazar Khagan Wagon Preview

Khurasan Miniatures: The Khazar Khagan went to war in an especially magnificent tented nomad wagon. It was said to be topped by a golden pomegranate. As it’s required or at least permitted in several game systems for the Khazars, we have had one made for our 15mm Khazars.

To make it more interesting, it depicts a scenario likely to have been frequent during battle. A rider has appeared and the khagan is giving him instructions to relay to a commander. As the Khazars were legendary for treachery, the rider would likely have been closely observed by a royal guardsman. As was typical of these asiatic wagons, the driver rides the left pack horse. The model is shown on a 40 by 80mm base. It should be released soon.

Khurasan Miniatures: These are tyrannosaurs made in the 1950s-1970s aesthetic as seen in much of the great pulp art, as well as many stop motion films such as “The Valley of Gwangi” (although that was technically an allosaur). They fit on 40mm x 40mm bases as shown (15mm miniatures). They’d make a fantastic fantasy warband for HotT, Fantastic Battles or DBF when combined with our pulp Neanderthals. These predatory colossi are available individually or as a terrifying tag team.

Khurasan Miniatures: Khurasan has just received new stock of our 15mm Tribal class DPLS (dual-purpose light spacecraft). It’s a beautiful hunk of resin! It actually occurred to me it could be used as a short hop spacecraft for 28mm gaming too.

It’s not quite big enough to stand in, but it’s definitely big enough to fit a pilot and maybe 4-5 seated passengers. So if your sci-fi background involves wormhole or space portal travel, this would do quite nicely. I don’t think it would work in 28mm if your interstellar travel takes weeks or months, though.

Khurasan Miniatures: As we all know, Earth leviathans constantly fight each other for regional dominance — they did this long before the Alien Intruders arrived and they had to team up to defend the planet.

Who can forget the epic struggle between the Atlantisaur and Sabrina Shaughnessy, who is sometimes called “THE ATTACK OF THE 500 FT WOMAN” (although she hates that)? Here Sabrina is using her human intelligence and her favorite tool — a freighter — to offset the brute strength of the Atlantisaur. The Atlantisaur has no great intellect, no tools, and no special or supernatural weapons: he’s just a big-ass lizard who wants to rip you to pieces. Khurasan’s LEVIATHANS range has been years in the making and will be released in 2025, including 3mm vehicles and people (!!!), buildings (some seen here) and of course the leviathans themselves. Stay tuned.

Khurasan Miniatures: Can a colossal robot be criminally insane? The rogue excavator mech, “The SKEGG,” says YES! The SKEGG was designed for excavation work on a distant, inhospitable moon of Saturn. To operate independently, it was designed sentient, but aggression inhibitors were installed to prevent The SKEGG from going insane — or, at least, from acting on its insanity. So the immense robot toiled alone on this moon for years, until the Alien Conquerors discovered the robot, ripped out its inhibitors, and brought it back to Earth, to extract its revenge…. The SKEGG is a resin model and will be released in Khurasan Miniatures’ LEVIATHANS giant monster range, as an Alien Conqueror.
