Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Heraldic Waterslide Decals for Wargaming Part 4 Kickstarter

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Hello everyone. We are back with the next installment of waterslide decals for medieval historical and fantasy wargaming. We've launched the campaign on Kickstarter and you can now back and support the campaign and follow along to see our progress. Thank you everyone for your kind words and support and for following during the pre-launch. Follow the link to check out the campaign here

For this next project we have sourced another great work from the same author and artists who wrote, compiled, and created art for A COMPLETE GUIDE TO HERALDRY. Our goal is to raise funds to continue making new heraldic images for our wargaming needs. All miniatures are 28mm Fireforge Templars. Shields are meant for historical or medieval figures sitting at about 28-32mm in size but will work on all sorts of vehicles, buildings and other scales as well. Thank you everyone for checking them out. Hope to see you on the campaign!

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: New Evil Undead Skeleton Waterslide Decal Kickstarter

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: It is time to go to the cemetery and dig up some new friends. They've got a number of new and amazing waterslide decals they'd like to share with you... but do not be afraid! These images they are offering you are meant to intimidate and dazzle your opponents on the tabletop battlefield and add some extra character to your miniatures. Check the Kickstarter here

In this campaign we are running with artwork and images inspired by skeletons and the undead! Each image has been carefully selected and designed in a way that we feel represents a mixture of classical and modern wargaming. Most of our images focus on skulls and bones though we have also included a few other influences from knights, heraldry, necromancy, blood dragons and vampires. These decals are suitable for 28mm wargaming. We hope you check them out and would love to have you join us! Here are some further examples of the decals on some undead soldiers.

Each decal sheet is approx. 11.5 x 20.5 cm in size. The individual decals mostly measure under or near 1 cm in height and width but will vary with shape and image as seen below. I tried to contain enough detail to be applied to most fantasy or medieval shields for 1/56 (28mm) scale miniature wargaming. Each image has 5 left facing images and 5 right facing images. Each sheet has 180 images in total. Each decal sheet reward has been unlocked so all reward options are available to choose as your pledge reward. Thank you everyone for taking the time to check out our latest Kickstarer campaign - we hope to see you there!

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Greek Hoplite Waterslide Decals for Wargaming Kickstarter

Hello everyone. Carthage Must Be Destroyed. In this project we are truly aiming to destroy the miniature version of Carthage with our Greek allies in Sicily, Greece, or wherever they were in the Mediterranean. We will assist our soldiers in this endeavor by equipping these brave warriors with hoplite shields that are decorated with waterslide decals. Check out all the details by following the link here

In this campaign the goal is to raise funds to create a series of hoplite shield decals inspired by the pottery, art, and coins left behind by the ancients. Each image seen on the decal sheets was originally an art or pottery piece, coin, or something from or influenced by the ancient world of the Greeks. The images that we have selected have been retraced from photos in png or jpeg form. Each image is edited through photoshop to bring clarity and completion to the images that were unclear or broken and then vector traced a second time to create a smooth transition from ancient art to decal image. This process also allowed us to redesign the original images to make them uniquely our own while keeping the art close to the original style these ancient Greeks employed. The final vector traced images gives a smooth, non pixilated design for the decal sheets.

A single decal sheet in this campaign contains 180 images. Each sheet is approximately 12 x 22 cm. The individual decals mostly measure about 1 cm in height and width but will vary with shape and image as seen below. The decals are small enough to be applied to most hoplite shields for 1/56 (28mm) scale miniature wargaming. Each image repeats 8 times and has two different colored versions per sheet, with the exception of the last grouping of pottery images, which we've split between both sheets. This should give collectors and gamers enough decals to create a lot of diversity with different painted shields in their phalanx. Once again you can follow the campaign and support it here

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Heraldic Waterslide Decals for Wargaming Part 3 Kickstarter

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: This is our third series of Heraldic Waterslide Decals for Wargaming and we're returning to the style of the first campaign and focusing on mostly heraldic animals and mythical creatures. One of the five sheets will also contain other symbols and objects that do not appropriately fit with other animals or legendary creatures. You can check out the campaign and all the details by following the link here - Kickstarter Link Click Here

Each image has 5 left facing images and 4 right facing images. This will allow those interested in putting them on horse's caparison the ability to do just that, or alternatively have some variants on footmen shields or whatever the decals will be put on! The campaign and the stretch goals are already fully funded, so this is your chance to access all five sheets via Kickstarter! Thank you for checking it out!

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Heraldic Waterslide Decals for Wargaming Part 2 Kickstarter

Cathage Must Be Destroyed: Hello everyone! The first Heraldic Waterslide Decal Kickstarter was quite a hit, so I decided to continue on with the series and work on the next set of waterslide decals. I just launched the campaign page for the next batch and you can now follow it on Kickstarter. Here's some of my own models in my collection I've been experimenting using decals on. More images and details to come with the launch of the campaign. Check the Kickstarter here

In the first project I focused on a sort of Bretonnian style by presenting the decals in rows of 9. One row would give you a single colour of an animal or mythical creature and included the same image facing left 5 times while the other 4 images faced right. This time I've changed the format of the decal sheets - now instead of 9 of the same image with different facings there will only be 5 images and now a single row has 10 images total. That means that there are more image variations per sheet and there's more decals per sheet as well. Additionally, I've experimented and decided to include miniature versions of some of the decals that worked out in tracing for people who want to include multiples of the same image on a shield or banner. Finally, the main two sheets in the campaign will contain humans, plants, symbols, and weapons/equipment while the stretch goals focus entirely on unlocking a whole bunch of different crosses. This is my attempt to use different imagery instead of focusing just on animals and mythical beasts. More details and pictures to come with the launch of the campaign. The project is now live! Thank you everyone for checking it out.

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Fleur-de-lys Tabletop Game Dice Kickstarter!

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Fleur-de-lys Tabletop Game Dice - D6 dice engraved with Fleur-de-lys. Built for Wargaming, Boardgames, and Tabletop. For this project the goal is to gather funding to release a series of dice that capture the essence of the French Fleur-de-lys (sometimes spelled fleur-de-lis). The fleur-de-lys symbol is well-known and can often be seen associated with historical French heraldry, banners, sports teams, and various other holidays and events. I felt that it would be awesome to create a set of stylized dice and honour this historical image. These dice will be useful for wargaming as well as other tabletop and boardgames. Check the full Kickstarter now here

Since most wargames and boardgames tend to use the common six sided dice (D6) I decided to stick with the basic six sides and not try to overcomplicate the style or design of the dice. Each dice is practical, has a light weight and is made of plastic, just like your normal white six sided dotted dice. A single die weighs about 4-5 grams. Size wise, every dice side is 15mm which allows for a handful to be rolled for those games that require multiple dice rolls. Furthermore, I have stuck with a simple design for both the engraving of each Fleur-de-lys and how they are placed on each face of the dice. In the centre each face has the standard 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and at each corner surrounding the number sits a highly vibrant Fleur-de-lys. I rolled with this style (sorry for the pun) because I feel dice with this sort of stylistic facings are easier to read and also have a pleasing aesthetic on the gaming table. There are two styles of dice to choose from and a third unlockable option! Check them out on Kickstarter today! Thank you!

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Heraldic Waterslide Decals for Wargaming Kickstarter

Carthage Must Be Destroyed: Do you recall the first time you experienced playing with toy soldiers? I remember as a kid collecting my first medieval Lego. What stood out the most to me in those sets was the various heraldry. Dragons. Eagles. Lions. Wolves. These sets were my first exposure to medieval knights and mini warrior men with their shields, tunics, and armour decorated with their fancy creatures and symbols. I think it is interesting that now many years later as an adult I'm still collecting small scale soldiers and playing with heraldic images. Check the full Kickstarter here

All images seen on the Kickstarter are drawn form "A Complete Guide to Heraldry" by Arthur Charles Fox-Davies. After running a miniature wargaming terrain campaign on Kickstarter, building up my miniature collection and painting skills over the years, and working with various people involved in the industry, I decided it would be amazing to create a small series of traditional waterslide decal sheets that would honour and bring life to these old illustrations and descriptions found in the book. Initially I was only going to create my own personal print outs of these decals, however after some consideration I felt it would be even better if instead I made them available for every miniature wargaming fan out there to make use of if they'd like to!

On the Kickstarter campaign there are 4 sheets of different decals, each sheet containing 162 decals. Each decal sheet is approx 11 x 22 cm in size. The individual decals measure around 1 cm in height and width but will vary with shape and image as seen below. I tried to make them small but also contain enough detail to be applied to most fantasy or medieval shields for 1/56 scale miniature wargaming. Each image has 5 left facing images and 4 right facing images. This will allow those interested in putting them on horses the ability to do just that, or alternatively have some variants on footmen shields.
