Hi, here are some pictures of my painted mini's from my new VSF-project;
All the big vehicles and apes you can see on this post are based on squares of 7 by 7 cm made of 3mm hardboard. The smaller apes are based on 5 eurocents, still the cheapest way to base my mini's (suggestions are welcome).
The basecoat is a cheap hardwarepaint: a kind of very dark grey almost black. The paints used as highlight are Gamesworkshop paints: skull white and chaos black which are mixed together in several different proportions. I have used 3 highlights on the apes,...
The bases are coated with filler and textured with sand and PVA. The stands were then flocked with 2 sorts of flock; a light green and foliage/forest mix. The bigger bases were also decorated with plastic aquarium plants.
Finally some pictures,

The smaller apes with a Wargames Factory British soldier.
The 3 apes on a row also with a British soldier. I have tried some eyes on the small apes but I don't like them very much however they are my first eyes and I really need to train the skill, ...
My small steamtank, painted in a square camouflage scheme.
Another shot of the steamtank.
One of the big apes' back.
A big ape with a British soldier.
The three brutes together!
I hope you enjoyed the pictures stay tuned for more pictures and progress on this project,
Greets,
