Critical Mass Games: Critical Mass Games Cease Trade Sale

Critical Mass Games: Well it is with some sadness that we are announcing Critical Mass Games will cease trading on April 2nd 2017. Both Dale and I who own and run Critical Mass Games have reached a point where our personal commitments are no longer compatible with running this enterprise with the passion and time it needs.

The 15mm Sci-fi community has show great support and loyalty since CMG came into being 10 years ago, and we are eternally grateful for the support you have shown. In the coming weeks/months we hope to find a new home for the CMG product ranges so they can still be enjoyed.

Anyone wanting to enquire should contact cmgsales@criticalmassgames.com In the interim the 15% sale on the site shall continue until the CMG store is decommissioned on April 2nd 2017. As part of this, and to manage down our stock levels, infantry platoon packs and vehicle platoon packs will be removed from the web store on Sunday 19th March 2017.

Critical Mass Games: 15mm Astagar Snakemen Miniatures Kickstarter

Critical Mass Games: On March 31st 2016 Critical Mass Games will launch a new Kickstarter project seeking to fund a full range of 15mm Astagar Snakemen miniatures to add to its Mercenary lineup.

The Astagar first came into being in 2010 with 5 unique sculpts in the MERC8 infantry pack and we have worked with our concept artist Rob Parkinson to re-invent the look of the Astagar to give them a more regular army feel. The initial campaign is looking to raise £2000 to bring the infantry miniatures, power armour and mecha to production and after which we are looking to further enhance the campaign with stretch goals unlocking more vehicles, variants and extras for backers.

Critical Mass Games: ZAS 15mm Mercs Kickstarter

Just found this first kickstarter from Critical Mass Games: Critical Mass Games was established in 2009 by two friends Craig and Dale with a goal of releasing some exciting new 15mm Science Fiction Miniatures. Since that time we have worked hard and launched 4 ranges of miniatures, supporting vehicles and terrain along with a set of 15mm Company level rules.

The existing 4 ZAS Infantry next to a Kaamados Armoured Car
The Mercenary Infantry up until now have been an ad-hoc range of figures offered to us by some very talented sculptors, but with the help of Kickstarter we are hoping to expand some of these lines in to full ranges of regular infantry whilst still maintaining the look and feel of the originals.

We have talked to a lot of people and customer feedback has lead us to believe that several of the Mercenaries codes we currently produce have the potential to become full ranges. The most requested of these are ZAS Infantry Sculpted by Phil Lewis in 2011, so having proven the most popular so we have decided to start here and with your help we can turn 4 figures into a full range in a short period of time.

To start the project we are aiming to have a basic infantry squad and Command sculpted, then as we hit our goals include heavy weapons in the line up. If we smash our initial goals we will start looking to introduce some VTOLs for the ZAS into the project.
