Warlord Games: Scoop! Bolt Action Konflikt '47 Resurgence Expansion Preview

Warlord Games will be releasing Konflikt '47: Resurgence which is most likely an expansion for their popular Alternate World War Two Konflikt '47 tabletop miniature wargame rules.

Warlord Games hasn't published an official announcement yet for this upcoming expansion as the release date but we can already look at some of the available information and the cover artwork of this interesting preview. The expansion book as all of the Bolt Action and Konflik '47 books will be published by Osprey Games. The Konflikt '47: Resurgence book will be published as an affordable paperback with 144 pages and is scheduled to be released around 24 October 2017 according to the available information.

If we take a closer look at the cover artwork of this book, we can clearly see some rampaging Soviet Heavy Infantry advancing on a German machine gun team. This illustration is in fact the same artwork as shown on the Konflikt '47 Soviet Army Starter Set which you can see below. My guess is that the upcoming supplement will cover the resurgence of the mighty Soviet Union and their renewed attack on Germany as mentionned in the background of the Soviet Starter Army Set.

March 1947. As Europe emerges from the worst winter in living memory the Soviet war machine is replenished and ready for action. 1946 was not the greatest year for The Motherland, although the German invaders were repulsed in their efforts to invade. After reverses before the winter set in, the Soviet war machine is now ready to roll west and crush the German foes before them.

The tireless efforts of brave Soviet scientists have meant the technology of the enemy is now available against them. The Cossack walker is fast and carries a heavy cannon, able to defeat it's recce counterparts at distance, and the new Heavy Infantry suits can tear apart infantry or vehicles with equal ease. More fearsome is the sonic pulse cannon that has been fitted to the trusty T-34 medium tank - no target is safe from its effects. The Germans may have prepared themselves over the harsh winter but they face a relentless juggernaut as the spring thaws begin.

Warlord Games: Weird Wars Bolt Action Konflikt ’47 Coming In August

Konflikt '47 is the upcoming Weird World War Two wargame by Warlord Games, Clockwork Goblin and Osprey Games. Read on for more information.

Konflikt '47 is set in a world very much like ours. In fact, its history is indistinguishable from our own until 1943 when the Manhattan Project's test of a prototype nuclear device opened a rift in the fabric of space. When the Fat Boy atomic bomb was dropped on Dresden on 12 March 1944, it created a second rift, and German scientists quickly set to work studying it. 

Both rifts began to relay signals from unknown sources. These signals were largely indecipherable, but occasionally one would convey a formula or scientific theory that permitted huge technological advances. Both the US and Germany were reluctant to share these advances with their allies, and in May 1944, Stalin declared the US to be an enemy of the Motherland. Fully compatible with the incredibly popular Bolt Action rules, this standalone rulebook takes the war to a completely new level. Players are given everything they need to field forces incorporating the incredible weapons and technologies made possible by the rift signals, and to engage in tabletop battles for supremacy and survival.
