We are delighted to announce that Plastic Soldier Company has acquired Armies Army and its superb range of high quality 15mm Modern resin and metal vehicles and infantry. All products are now available to buy in the Modern section of the Plastic Soldier Company webstore.

The introduction of this resin and metal range will complement our plastic range and provide many additional options for us. The range will be introduced over the next few weeks with many items available today. There is an absolute treasure trove of unreleased vehicles which we will roll out over the coming months plus Keith will continue to design new stuff for us. Armies Army: 15mm Cold War British and VDV Infantry and Armour Forces Kickstarter

Armies Army: The VDV release includes the BMD 1 and 1 P, ASU-85 and a soon to be released company level infantry force. 

These are all 1:100 or 15mm scale and the infantry do match popular figures such Forged in Battle and can be used with Flames of War miniatures etc. With the successful launch of these figures I've started to look at my next release and after hours of thought and discussions I've decided upon my most favourite force and closest to my heart the British Army (plus a little VDV Soviet Airborne to allow for quick start battles), however with a slightly different trait in that Ill be working on 'Winter uniforms' I think they look cooler and take me some what away from the 'norm'. Armies Army: New PLA WZ993 XiangYu APC Series Released

Armies Army: After the great purge, the PLA was all but destroyed and what was left splintered into warlords and families. One family, however, discovered an underground facility spared from the purge which was rich in technology. The Han family, being limited in manpower, looked at The Next Best Thing… robotics. Supplementing their forces with robots, the Han Dynasty began… 

First up is the WZ993 XiangYu APC series. This series includes both an automated gun turret, manned gun turret, and an anti-tank mobile gun platform. Each APC has a resin hull, eight metal wheels, and separate hatches. The manned APC will come with a variety of crew figures, which can be cut to fit.

Armies Army: New 15mm Science Fiction - Near Future Insurgents/ Militia Released!

Armies Army: The threat of the ‘Great Purge’ has gone. The last of the Enemy Unknown fighters have been exterminated by the combined National forces of the Old and New Worlds but not without cost. In a final attempt to rid the worlds of the Humans large Bio bombs and ECM weapons were deployed causing destruction on a scale never seen before and hopefully never been seen again. The old world was utterly destroyed of life and only the nations whom had explored had any hope of survival.

Many saw it as an opportunity to rebuild their nations and live a peaceful existence. They were wrong…Nations grew and typical neighbour quarrels grew into National Wars and more! One such Nation grew. It followed the old ways of old and became the Russian Federation in name. The Russian Federation excel at insurgency warfare. They are slowly but surely growing its territories. Insurgency tactics are prevalent in the Federation. These Insurgents / militiamen are well armed and well trained and have become known as SKOV forces. Named after a Soviet campaign on the settlement of Kalingrad the SKOV forces are lightly armoured and armed with the latest generation AK’s, RPGS and RPK LMG’s.

For support they count on the Russian Federation ‘Guard’ Forces whom can provide support through APC’s, MBTS and VTOLS from the Armoured Corps of the Federation. These will be quickly followed by heavier weapons, tank riders and finally the Guards Troops. The government forces ‘Guards’ are more conventional forces with heavier armour and exo assisted suits.

Brigade Models: 15mm Science Fiction Chinese People’s Liberation Army Soldiers

Brigade Models: These are Chinese (CDSU) troopers in helmets with enhanced night vision goggles (ENVG). The rifle squad consists of two four-man fireteams with rifles. 

The PLA (People’s Liberation Army) doesn’t have squad-level support troopers – instead, each team has a remote support drone with a gatling automatic weapon for heavy firepower. Separate support squads are equipped with heavy automatic weapons and missile launchers – our pack has three of the former and two of the latter.

Brigade Models: New 15mm Science Fiction Infantry Released

Brigade Models: Originally they were going to be sold as generic armoured infantry, but with our recent acquisition of the ArmiesArmy infantry ranges we’ve decided to allocate figures to our various forces. 

So these figures are now assigned to the Pacific Federation where their fully-armoured look goes well with the high-tech grav vehicles of the PacFed. There are nine packs available including riflemen, support and heavy weapons and command figures. There is also a 32-man platoon pack plus a 3-man crew for our Mercenary Combat Car.

Armies Army: I'm very pleased to announce that after several months of tense negotiations between representatives of ArmiesArmy and BlackHat Miniatures a deal has been struck for the acquisition of Blackhats 15mm sci range. Given the Global scale and likely investigation by the UK mergers and acquisitions department it might be several minutes before official word is given.

As it happens the molds are in the back of my car after Mike asked if I wanted them! Ill give them a quick sort out tomorrow morning. The lovely little models are just what armiesarmy need for some indigenous species and fit nicely with my Yeti and Raptor like creatures I've been stumbling about with for a while! Here is a few pics of the new ranges. I'll be looking at creating some masters for conversions and give the locals a much needed upgrade in modern simple weaponry. The RUSK AK347 a prime example of point and shoot in any condition!

Armies Army: 15mm Moderns - Bush War ZIPRA and ZANLA Preview

Armies Army: Just an update on some Bush War African figures (ZIPRA/ZANLA) in 15mm, however I think the can be used for a vast number of forces.  Just a quick update on the Cold War range I’d been talking about. First off, it’s started. I’m having test sculpts created, however I’ve gone a little off track and theatre as I’m focussing more on the ‘influenced’ Africa bush war battles s. Both sides were secretly or not so secretly supported as the big boys tried to influence and project their powers. First in line is the Rhodesian Bush war, which was first in line of a series of wars which ravaged South and South Southwest Africa for many years.

As it happens, Id dare say that the African Guerrilla /freedom fighters ‘look’ did not change throughout the period, armed with the infamous AK rifle and RPG, so they should cover a big number of troops. The Rhodesian campaign also saw a number of old rifles like the SMLE and SKS in play, so I’ll do my best to represent them. A head swap will probably allow you to look at some other COIN campaigns such as Malaysia etc. Anyhow to the sculpts, the first is an African Zipla insurgent. It needs a little reworking of the AK, however given that its 15mm it will certainly cut the mustard, and overall I think it’s quite excellent!

Armies Army: Bogatyr Russian Heavy Class Tank Preview

Armies Army: The Bogatyr is the Main Battle tank of Russian Empire. It has a crew of 3 and armed with heavy gun located in an automated unmanned turret. Additional weaponry for point defense comes in the form 2 remote controlled machine guns (same type as on Kurganets-40 MGS). 

The Fusion Engine is located at the front, crew in middle section and auto-loader in rear section. Like modern Israeli Merkava tanks, Bogatyr have armored door at rear part of the hull to load the ammunition. By removing some of the ammo it is possible for Bogatyr to carry up to 5 passengers.
