Khurasan Miniatures: Khurasan Miniatures has just released the latest wave of 15mm Spanish Civil War: the “Requetes” of the ultra-conservative Carlist movement. These were a foundation of the Nationalist rebellion and were found fighting in large numbers in countless battles — wearing their red berets, led into battle by “cristoforos.” While they’re Nationalists, it should be noted that many Republican troops would have also worn berets (especially popular in the International Brigades) — just don’t use the cristoforos!

No the beret is all the wrong shape for Republicans. The Carlist beret is quite distinctive.
