Pulp Action Library: Science Vs Pluck 3rd ed. Rules Released

Pulp Action Library: Science Vs Pluck is a game of the Sudan Wars set at a “Generalship” level in which Players portray Officers in the service of Queen or Khedive, and seek to solve a variety of problems posed by the Enemy, the harsh terrain and cli-mate and, indeed, their own orders. All the participants serve together in, one would hope, some degree of cooperation, while one or more Umpires, control the wild Sudanese foe-men, other Imperial Officers and their, troops, and the universe in general. A distinct degree of role-playing is required; Players are expected to devote themselves to behaving in a properly Victorian manner, while the Umpire will ensure that his own dramatic performances of fellow Britons, Arab merchants, Syrian interpreters and suitably obsequious “other ranks” are appropriately Kiplingesque. Tea and buttered scones should be available at all times, stronger spirits only after noon. This is the 3rd. ed., previously published by The (Virtual) Armchair General.

Pulp Action Library: Astounding tales 2nd Edition

Pulp Action Library: Astounding Tales! is a set of rules for mayhem, murder and Weird Horror set in the period between the 1920s and the end of the black-and-white B Movie era - Film Noir, hard-boiled novels, pulp magazines with Charles Atlas advertisements in the back, that sort of thing. A world where private eyes fight hoodlums, but where heroes – often cunningly disguised by wearing a small mask, which fools even their closest friends - save the world from ambitious mad scientists, laughably inept aliens and, quite often, the Germans. Astounding Tales depends on a very fast pace, not worrying about details too much, and an attitude that says that heroes (and their sidekicks, dames and others in white hats) should have an advantage over thugs, punks, zombies and other minions of the Evil Overlords. 

This is the complete Second Edition of the game originally published by The Virtual Armchair General, on discount because we intend to bring out an updated Third edition in the not-unforeseeable future. Until then, we don’t want you to miss out on the pulp action brought by Astounding Tales!

Pulp Action Library: End of the world sale!

It's the Mayan Apocalypse this week! And if that's not an excuse for an outfit called Pulp Action Library (located in an underground lair beneath a lost jungle temple in Guatemala) to celebrate, I don't know what is! 

So, we'll do a sale for the "Getting Ready for the End of the World" aspect on the 20th (because you really want to spend all your money, right?) and one for "Phew!
