Kallistra Miniatures: Salute 2016 - Battle of the Somme Participation Game

Kallistra Miniatures: Kallistra will be at Salute on 16th April, stand TM23 - Wyvern Wargames Club will be running a WWI 1916 Battle of the Somme participation game GM22 using the WWI hex-based rules Raging Empires from Kallistra, and approximately 1,700 12mm miniatures from Kallistra's Late WWI range. Come on over and take a look, you can roll some dice too! There will also be a hex-based Napoleonic game run by the Forest Outlaws Wargames Club in the same location.

Please, to avoid disappointment on the day, remember to pre-order your goods if possible. Our ranges are so extensive, it is impossible for us to carry all our products or large quantities of any of our products, due to space restrictions. Despite our best efforts, we will always run out of stock of some items very quickly on the day. Kallistra Miniatures: Free The Raging Empire World War One Rules Released

Kallistra Miniatures: The Raging Empires rule system has been developed by WWI enthusiasts to create a fast-flowing game which captures the feel and flavour of this fascinating conflict. This draft version of the rules contains all the game mechanics necessary to re-fight historical battles in all theatres and phases of the First World War, from the war of movement of 1914 to the major battles of 1916. This will be extended to cover 1917-18 in the full set of Raging Empires due for Autumn release.

One A4 Quick Reference Sheet is sufficient to contain all the information necessary to play. The main rules need only be consulted when players are learning the rules, and occasionally thereafter to clarify situations as they arise. The draft version of the Raging Empires fast-play, hex-based rules are available to download free from our website, along with Play Sheets and Unit Listings for 1914 Western Front. Kallistra: Hammerhead Convention on 1 March 2014

Kallistra: Hammerhead 2014 will be taking place on Saturday March 1st at the New Venue: Cedric Ford Pavilion, Newark Showground, Newark, from 10am until 4.30pm. Entry is £4.00 GBP per adult, £3.00 GBP for minors (16 and under), Children under 9 free.

All 25 games at Hammerhead are visitor participation, which means that you are very welcome 'to have a go' at a wide variety of different historical and fantasy based games run by intrepid gaming clubs, historical societies, wargame companies and enthusiastic groups of gamers. You will be able to play a full game or simply move a few miniatures, roll some dice, have a chat with the people running the game and then move onto the next. The show provides a great opportunity to try out new or familiar game systems and spend a day indulging yourself and friends in this absorbing and fascinating hobby. Whether you're interested in The Great War, WWII, Medieval, AWI, Fantasy or Science Fiction, we are sure that you will find a selection of games you would like to play.

There is a good selection of top traders selling a wide variety of wargaming wares, miniatures, terrain and scenery, books and gaming accessories.

This year Hammerhead show will be hosting a Tabletop Sale in place of the usual bring and buy stand. If you are new to this, you basically hire a table for one hour to sell your unwanted wargames items. You can deal directly with the buyers and answer any questions they may have. With no commission, you keep all the profits. The Hammerhead 2014 miniature, ‘Leader of Stallions', will be available for the first time on the day of the show for the token price of £1.00 GBP, or FREE if you purchase your Hammerhead Entry ticket online prior to the show.

Kallistra Miniatures: 12mm World War One Range Released

Kallistra Miniatures: This year, 2014, is the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War and in response we are producing a comprehensive range of WW1 pewter miniatures and Hexon Terrain pieces etc. We have already introduced many new trench pieces and reorganised our 10-15mm trench sets.

Our new WW1 miniatures range, 1:144 scale, 12mm, are cast to the highest standards in lead free pewter, each pack complete with precision moulded brown plastic bases. The initial releases in this new WW1 range include most of the common troop types involved in the early battles of the war. Most packs include a small number of command figures, although command packs for each nation will follow in due course. Although we are starting with early war, it will be progressively expanded into a comprehensive range to cover mid and late war, as well as other theatres of this epic conflict. 

Kallistra Miniatures: New 10-15mm Modular Trenches

Kallistra Miniatures: New 10-15mm trenches- we have added several new trenches and reorganised our 10-15mm trench sets. 

These terrain features are thermoformed using a lightweight, strong, tough, durable, high impact polymer. The shell mouldings can stack inside each other for easy, space efficient storage. Available in Light Brown or Ready Flocked. The trenches are flocked using a soft earth coloured flock. They are designed to fit on top of Hexon Terrain boards. (The Earthworks/Strongpoints have been designed to link in with the trench/earthworks sections. Width of trenches; approx. 22mm and depth approx 13mm)

Designed for a wide range of table top games, which enables you to fight big battles on small tables. Some packs are strip mounted to facilitate ease of painting and mounting onto the supplied bases The range is constantly being expanded. Keep a check on the web site for further releases. Figures are supplied unpainted and some models may require assembly.
