Gaddis Gaming: Ball Tank - 28mm Model Kickstarter Preview

Gaddis Gaming: Roaring! Rolling! Rampaging! Because of circumstances beyond everyone’s control, Detroit-based Gaddis Gaming was not able to launch its latest innovations in tabletop war games at Adepticon 2020. But, that doesn’t stop gamers from getting their hands on the most unique miniatures of the collection today – The Ball Tank. Visit the Kickstarter here

Available exclusively through our Kickstarter campaign launching today and running through June, The Ball Tank is part of bringing new creative narratives of hidden and underappreciated history to war games designed by noted artists, entrepreneurs, and game enthusiast Lee Gaddies. The Ball Tank is perfect for other gaming systems like Warhammer 40,000, but it comes alive inside the G.U.A.R.D.S. rules system that allows players to move with more ease and fun from game-to-game than any other tabletop experience on the market. Explore untold real-life stories of women and people of color inside an alt-universe that brings a richer narrative to every roll and every move.

The Ball Tank can be paired with armies, character cards, rulebooks, t-shirts, patches, and more are available now and only to those who act fast to this limited time only Kickstarter campaign. Each backer who purchases The Ball Tank makes it possible for Gaddis Gaming to create new innovations in tabletop gaming culminating in the much-anticipated release of Empires Fall later this year.

Gaddis Gaming: Black History Comes Alive! Overlooked Heroes Coming To Tabletop War Gaming in 2020

Gaddis Gaming: February 17, 2020 Detroit, Michigan Detroit-based Gaddis Gaming is proud to announce “Empires Fall” – the first skirmish level wargame that puts you in the action as some of the greatest overlooked heroes of WWII. While playing as members of the 761st Tank Battalion this game allows you to take part in the battles that made them famous. The 2-player starter set pits Ruben Rivers and a Sherman tank against a hardened platoon of Nazis trying to stop the armored advance of Patton’s 3rd Armor Company, which the 761st was the spearhead of.

“Empires Fall” balances history and alternative history in an educational and entertaining way. It picks up where Gaddis Gaming’s WWI  “Shattered Crown” left off, but with a difference – the map and alliances we know by memory have shifted, the face of fascism is now quite different, and the enemy are more than mortal men. It’s in this story where African-American soldiers are given the opportunity to rise to the challenge once again and “Come Out Fighting” as the 761st held as their motto.

Gaddis Gaming tells the stories of underrepresented Americans to build new worlds of gaming, a broader range of stories, to share with your children and grandchildren. These are the stories of courage and valor with an amazing history that should not be overlooked and left untold. These heroes are people of color and women who made significant real world contributions that changed the course of history.

While many might have heard of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first all-black U.S. Air Unit, fewer understand their accomplishments are part of a continuum that includes units such as the 555th Paratroopers (aka “Triple Nickel”), these brave men protected the West Coast  from Japanese fire bomb attacks at home; and the 761st Tank Battalion (aka “The Black Panthers”) who helped to crush fascism in Europe. While brave fighters and Medal of Honor winners echo among their ranks, they are not remembered or mentioned as often when we talk about the valor of our service men during the shameful Jim Crow era of American history.

Let’s meet some of the characters available for explosive tabletop gaming action:

Sergeant Ruben Rivers – “The enemy gave no quarter and neither did he.” Facing the Germans during WWII, Rivers fought with every measure of his being to break the Nazi lines in tanks and on foot. For his valor, Rivers was honored with a posthumous Medal of Honor by President Clinton in 1997. Sergeant Warren Crecy – Known as the “Baddest Man in the 761st” because when Nazis destroyed his tank, he attacked enemy positions armed with only a 30-caliber machine gun that had to be pried out of his hands when the fighting was over that day.

Each copy of  “Empires Fall” features the real history of these units, the men, and the times. In April Gaddis Gaming will bring “Empires Fall” to Kickstarter with a campaign to create this one of a kind game. Those who support will get the opportunity to get it first, help create something new, and build future edutainment products of this World War II game featuring women and people of color. Help us “Come Out Fighting” because there are so many stories to tell and exciting ways to play with Gaddis Gaming’s WWII game, “Empires Fall”.

Gaddis Gaming: New Shattered Crown Miniatures Kickstarter

Gaddis Gaming: Detroit, Michigan:   For our November Kickstarter collaboration, Gaddis Gaming is creating an additional line of miniatures to go with our (G.A.U.R.D.S) rules system, Gaddis Gaming's very own General Assembly Universal Rules Data System© (G.A.U.R.D.S).

Through this unique offering, supporters will get to help DESIGN what the next faction will look like. Your support will help us answer questions like: How weird should we make them look? How far will your imagination push us to create the next faction in the Shattered Crown© Universe? Only you can tell us.

With the community we will build on this Kickstarter, we will post a series of updates and the community will decide on what direction we go with for our next faction design for Shattered Crown©. YOU get to choose things like what will their uniforms look like, how heavily armored will they be, and what special abilities will their Hero units have. You will have the ability to help shape the world of Shattered Crown© moving forward. We will debut this faction at Adepticon 2018.

By answering some of these basic questions, together we will build a Weird War faction unique to Shattered Crown©. We already have a full line of Harlem Hellfighters miniatures for the game, as well as the Prussian Empire, German Empire, Russian Empire, Italians and Ottomans.  But we are looking for you to help us create that next great faction to the game.

This is the world the Shattered Crown© Universe takes place in... The Martian War was a spitting contest compared to what was to come. It could have been much worse for humanity. Imagine if the US and Britain hadn't come to agreements after the fall of the Martians before V-M Day. Bickering among the Russian powers have tied up vital supplies and treaties hinder tech exchanges. Germany and Italy are split, but European politics would create their own new enemies in the Prussian Empire. Emperor Hirohito will not be caught between China and Russia, two warring nations. Japan will never surrender her Manchurian territory on the eve of recurring hostilities between the two powers. And World War I looks like it is about to begin.

Combining an intriguing story line and the ability to be part of the action on the playing field, Shattered Crown© is one of the first Weird WWI games available with a full miniatures line ready to support any army you would like to create. It offers eight different armored fighting vehicles and more than 20 different scenarios for more hours of gameplay for you and your friends.

Gaddis Gaming: TableTopper™ Kickstarter Funded!

Gaddis Gaming: On Friday, September 1st, just 12 hours after going live on Kickstarter, the Gaddis Gaming TableTopper 2.0 reached its funding goal.

This unique patented product is made in Detroit, Michigan. The TableTopper provides a solution for board gamers, miniature gamers and card gamers who don’t have a table at home with the right dimensions to accommodate their game. It is not another piece of furniture, but a dedicated surface sturdy enough to play a game over the edges of existing tables.

Version 1.0 came out in 2015 and is still going strong as a single-piece 3’x3’ square play area surrounded by out-of-play pits for rolling dice and keeping cards and miniatures not in the game. The improvements being offered with the TableTopper 2.0 are as follows:  It’s modular, breaking down into three pieces for ease in transporting and storing. It’s expandable, allowing for a gaming area of 4’x4’ or 4’x6’ or 4’x8’ and so on. Sturdy guards have been added to the out-of-play areas that will protect against potential damage and can be customized in color, designs and logos. And, it has the requisite drink holders.

The response to the changes to the TableTopper 2.0 has been tremendous! Individuals and game store owners from around the world are lining up to get theirs. For a store owner it saves money and space by allowing existing card tables to double as tournament tables when necessary. This Kickstarter continues until October 1st and can be found here
