Bloody Miniatures: New ECW Bloody Guns and More Preview

Bloody Miniatures: First off the painting line from upcoming Bloody release 10 are 'The Bloody Guns' and 'The Bloody Practitioners'. Just to remind you, ‘The Bloody Guns’ pack includes a battlement gun with both stationary frame and truckle wheeled options, plus a nifty little robinet on a truckle carriage. Perfect companion pieces for skirmishes, raids, sallies and small running battles using Bloody Miniatures.

'The Bloody Practitioners' meanwhile, are an all-purpose team of engineers, sappers or gunners: A dapper officer with his perspective spyglass at the ready; a chief engineer or artillerist with his trusty quadrant; and a pair of open-handed labourers who can be equipped from an accompanying sprue including rammer / sponge, linstock, powder shovel, long-handled spade, and pickaxe.

Bloody Miniatures: New ECW & TYW Characters Release

Bloody Miniatures: The third release of Bloody Miniatures is now available. Another group of characterful C17th figures to add a dash of extra personality to existing collections, or provide small, distinctive forces for skirmish wargames set in the English Civil War and Thirty Years War era.

Pack BM0013 – ‘The Looters’. A band of disreputable soldiery laden with forage and the spoils of war - swag, sacks, bundles, caskets of valuables, bottles, altar goods, flasks, wine casks, and so on. But still very much with their swords, pistols and muskets at the ready.

Pack BM014 – ‘The Militant Tendency’. The Civil Wars provoked a dangerous ferment of religious, social and political upheaval. Agitators and ‘sectaries’ abounded – Ranters, Levellers, Diggers, Fifth Monarchists, Anabaptists and more besides. This well-armed crew of assorted rabble-rousers wield prayer books, polemics, political tracts, and fire and brimstone exhortations.

Pack BM015 – ‘All the King's Men’. Raffish Royalists in flamboyant attire, including a well-fed landowner enjoying a cup of sack; a dandified cavalier gentleman sporting 1642’s latest, most fashionable togs; a hard-bitten TYW veteran in the Royalist cause, with scarred visage and fluted Continental zischagge. And finally, a notorious duellist / killing gentleman with rapier.

Pack BM016 – ‘The Parliament Men’. Plain-speaking Parliamentarians in austere, godly attire. Including a bluff and honest East Anglian farmer-turned-soldier; a stout Member of Parliament in his iron puritan hat; a dour puritan intelligencer in his tall hat, long coat and riding cape; and a veteran New Model Army sergeant, pamphlet of psalms thrust through his hatband (He has open hands and a separate halberd by the way, so you could press him into service an ensign).

This release also includes a pack of 12 separate heads for conversions.

Bloody Miniatures: Bloody Miniatures new line of 28mm figures for the English Civil War, is a range conceived to bring a dash of added personality to existing ECW / TYW collections, or provide characterful figures for skirmish games.

Bloody Miniatures figures are the work of the brilliant Nick Collier, original sculptor of the enduringly popular Bicorne and Renegade ECW ranges. Those existing excellent ranges contain huge numbers of rank and file models in a variety of drill-type poses - perfect for recreating big battles set in that era, but perhaps slightly less well suited to the minor scrimmages, sieges, raids and sallies which typified warfare of the period. Bloody Miniatures complement these existing ranges perfectly, providing a seamless fit in size, style and stature, with extra helpings of charisma and period flavour. 

They're designed with the ECW in mind, but will serve equally well for the Thirty Years War. The figures are also eminently suitable for New World colonial conflicts like the Powhatan and Pequot Wars of the 1630s - 1640s, and for C17th 'folk horror' settings / rules like 'Witchfinder General'.
