BigRedBat: TtS! For King and Parliament - Celtic Fringe Extra Rules

BigRedBat: This is to purchase the digital version of the Celtic Fringe extra rules book, intended for use alongside the TtS! For King and Parliament rules and the Montrose "To Win or Lose it All" scenario book. By Celtic Fringe, we refer to the land and people west and north of the "Highland Line" in Scotland, and their Gaelic-speaking cousins across the Irish Sea. The book contains extra rules that build on the For King and Parliament mechanisms, modelling the traditional styles of fighting that still survived in these areas. It will also support two future scenario books in the same series, concerned with the Insurgency and Catholic Confederation in Ireland, and with Cromwell's campaigns in Ireland and Scotland. Check these extra rules now here

BigRedBat: TtS! For King and Parliament - Montrose Scenario eBook

BigRedBat: This 90-page scenario book is designed for use with the TtS! For King and Parliament English Civil War rules and the Celtic Fringe extra rules, but could be adapted for use with other rule systems. It contains nine free-standing scenarios covering the Marquis of Montrose's battles in Scotland in 1644-45. Eight are historical and one, a "what if". Each scenario contains a background briefing, separate briefings for each of the players, a deployment plan and an order of battle. It is illustrated with beautiful images of wargames minis. The scenarios can be played individually or in sequence, as a campaign. The book also includes a background to the campaign and descriptions of the principle personalities involved, including Montrose, Alastair MacColla and Archibald Campbell. Check this new Scenario Book here

BigRedBat: To the Strongest! Ancient & Medieval Rules

BigRedBat: To the Strongest! is a set of simple rules for Ancient and Medieval tabletop wargaming. It enables a battle to be fought with model soldiers on a dining room table and won or lost in less than two hours. But the rules also support huge battles, with several thousand figures and up to five players a side.

Games can be played with miniatures in any scale and based for any of the common wargaming rules systems. A grid enables players to completely dispense with measurement, and so permits the game to move along at a cracking pace. To the Strongest! uses a unique activation system driven by either playing cards or chits. This system introduces uncertainty to a battle; in some turns a unit can move four or five times, and in others not even once. The same deck of cards is used to resolve shooting and melee. No dice whatsoever need to be rolled! Playable by up to a dozen players, the rules also work well for solo gamers.

The rules include scenarios, terrain and points values to support those players who wish to play competitively. Numerous army lists are available online, from the Biblical era through to the late 15th century. The rules have been written in plain English, with appropriate diagrams, sample lists and many examples of play. They are copiously illustrated with pictures of battles and beautifully painted miniatures. They have proved popular with veteran and novice wargamers alike! Check these rules here
