Baker Company: Following from the successful Winter War campaign (for 28mm Finnish and Russian wargaming miniatures and vehicles) last October we decided to follow up with more options of the very popular GAZ AAA trucks. 

The designer of the truck, Andy Cummings, rendered a 3D sculpt of the refueling truck and I thought it would be a good idea to fund the production of the truck on Kickstarter. Backers of the Winter War campaign were asked what they thought and there was an immediate positive response.

Baker Company: Winter War Kickstarter 825% Funded!

Baker Company's Winter War Kickstarter has now passed the halfway point! At time of writing, we have just under 14 days to go, and our total funding is at £24,836.00 (which is 825% of our funding goal of £3,000.00) and with 19 stretch-goals unlocked! We have now produced the first two master molds, and painted some of the Finnish riflemen.

To celebrate our Kickstarter mid-point, we have linked up with 4Ground, the fantastic producers of finely-made laser-cut terrain, perfect for every 28mm wargaming table! Baker Company: Winter War Kickstarter Update

Baker Company: Another night (GMT) and another stretch goal unlocked! That's the 12 engineers for both armies. The 4 different packs will be: Mine Clearers, Flame Thrower, Demolitions and Wire Clearers. These will include 3 miniatures each and some terrain pieces (rubble, wire fence, road block). I'm really looking forward to sculpting these as I think they will be quite interesting! As well as being busy sculpting, I've started painting some of the first batch of castings - more news soon on these! Also I have the first set of 'blacked up' metals which are good for seeing detail (not that there is much detail in a snow suit...). Please see these below...

Baker Company: Winter War Range Kickstarter

Baker Company have started a new Kickstarter for a new range of 28mm miniatures for The Winter War between Finland and Soviet Russia of 1939-1940:The range includes Finnish Soldiers in snow camouflage and also early Red Army soldiers. Eventually the range will be available as blister packs of 4 miniatures for each type of soldier (running rifleman etc). However, for Kickstarter, each pledge level includes a fighting unit which includes Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), sub machine guns (SMGs), light machine guns (LMGs) and riflemen as you will need them in most miniature wargames. Baker Company: First of which, as some of you already know, the ownership of the company changed in June to me, Gavin Tyler, also co-owner of Warm Acre (known for Hour of Glory and No-Go Zone, as well as the upcoming Spy or Die Tryingboardgame). I have been responsible for casting the Baker Company range for about a year, and already knew the ranges well before given the opportunity to buy the company from Danny O'Hara.

Since then, I've been busy organizing the company, arranging new ranges, and sculpting new additions to the Baker Company range. Baker Company is and will remain separate from Warm Acre, as they are both very different businesses. As you will see, there are currently the command and support weapon pack, ANZAC rifles (encompassing running and firing poses all armed with SLR), and the SASR pack full of different weapons and special-forces goodness!
