Khurasan Miniatures: Deus Vult! A bishop carries the True Cross into battle. The small bits of wood embedded in the middle were thought to be remnants of the cross Christ was crucified on. The heroic Millennium range will have its first codes released (hopefully) this week. This guy will be a future release.
A lot was going on in the 11th century — the Normans trying to conquer everything that moved (and some things that didn’t), the Spanish reconquista really heating up, the continued Byzantine resurgence under the mighty Basil II, the rise of the Turks in Anatolia, strenuous imperial German efforts to dominate Italy, growth of Ukrainian Rus, and of course that holiday excursion to the Levant. Should be a fun range!
