Orcs in the Webbe: Where Man and Magic Meet Machine‏

Orcs in the Webbe: Today Orcs in the Webbe brings you something a little bit different. It has long been a goal of mine to have content featuring Orcs from different worlds on the site. Over the last few years the focus has been on Black Powder through Flintloque and World Wars I/II with Panzerfäuste (and of course a few pirates thrown in here and there). Today OITW turns its gaze to the future and welcomes Shadowrun to its range of supported games.

For those not familiar with the game, Shadowrun it is set in the latter half of the 21st century. Magic has returned to the world, awakening powerful creatures of myth and legend. Technology merges with flesh and consciousness. Elves, trolls, orks and dwarves walk among us, while ruthless corporations bleed the world dry.

Today’s Advent release is an adventure written by me for the out-of-print Shadowrun Duels system, however, any ruleset can be used, as can any miniatures. There are a great number of companies offering near future and cyberpunk miniatures in a variety of scales. Having said that the oversized action figures used in Duels really do make for an excellent skirmish game. Deep within the seedy streets of Touristville, in Seattle's Redmond Barrens, two groups of Shadowrunners clash during an assassination attempt on one of Novatech Seattle's Directors whilst he is out trogjamming.
