Toad King Castings: Fantasy Mushimen Attack! Kickstarter

Toad King Castings: Help me fund the production a range of 28mm mushroom men and fungi creatures.

With the Mushimen, I wanted to create a range of mushroom-men creatures who use stone-age weapons. This sets them apart from D&D Myconids who only use their fists for combat. I felt stone-age technology suited the feel of these creatures and would make them useable in traditional fantasy settings as well pulp "lost world" settings. Along with the melee warriors, certain Mushimen attain a mastery of magic and become tribal wizards.

In addition to the Mushimen are other fungi themed creatures. I've made a selection of the classic Shrieker mushrooms including a huge Boss Shrieker. To go with these are four metal branches which can be used to turn them into the dreaded Violet Fungi. Shoomies are the possibly the strangest of the lot, one-eyed creeping mushrooms. Toad King Castings: Warts and Wings Kickstarter Ending Within Two Hours - Huge Toad Previewed

Toad King Castings: Now we're in the last 24 hours and it's safe to say the campaign has totally exceeded all my expectations. Not a whole lot of time left to go now but I'm still aiming for one more Toad to be added to the campaign. It may be that he's added in the last few hours but I'm determined to get him done in time! He'll be the biggest of the Toads and the first to be a two part model with his front right leg being a separate casting. I'm hopping he'll not only be the biggest but also the ugliest of the lot. Here are some WIP pics along side the current Large Toad for scale comparison.

Toad King Castings: Fantasy Warts and Wings Kickstarter - New Slugs Previewed

Toad King Castings: Worked hard today to get the slugs finished. Didn't quite make it but they're both almost there.

Here's a picture to give an idea of how they'll look and the scale. I think the eye stalks will get a bit of tweaking. Both pairs getting shortened a bit and the shape reworked. I'll play around tomorrow until they look right. Check the Kickstarter here and grab some Warts and Wings!

Toad King Castings: Warts and Wings Fantasy Kickstarter - Warts Stretchgoal Freebie Preview

Toad King Castings: Here's the little figure I've been sculpting today. Hope you like him! If we get to £3000 we'll get him cast up in metal and add him for free to any pledge that contain all 3 resin toads. Check the Kickstarter here.

Toad King Castings: Warts and Wings Kickstarter - Fantasy Toads and Stirges

Toad King Castings: I've launched a KS campaign to get the Fire Toads I've previewed along with some Stirges into production. I'm looking to use the funds from this project to get the models produced and help get the new company up and running which will be focusing on fantasy miniatures. While the project is running I hope to get a new website launched with some of my resin terrain items. The new company will be called Toad King Castings and although I'll be posting any new stuff here there is a facebook page also.
