Breaking! Red Box Games: Company Closing Down Soon!

Red Box Games: Red Box Games, 17th of May - Well Folks, I have been agonizing over this long enough...... It is time for Red Box Games to change shape. To that end I am going to conducting a final sell off of Red Box Games figures. Through the end of the month of June I will be taking orders on everything in the Red Box Games store which will include some ( not all ) of the previously discontinued back catalog items as I have had a LOT of inquiries about several discontinued items in the recent months.

There are several reasons for this. Chief most being the past year was BRUTAL for Red Box Games. the cost of metal has increased dramatically and I did not make enough profits to reinvest in restocks of current catalog items. This is why the RBG store has been empty for so long. My eye sight has degraded rapidly over the past 2 years to the point now that is VERY difficult to see what I am doing and trying to work with glasses on has been impossible for me adjust to. So making new product to get the store going again has been off the table as well. And even if i were making new product I don't think I could afford to restock AND produce new product as well.

Shipping rates have been a nightmare as well. I have subsidized shipping costs as much as I have been able but the way things are going I do not anticipate being able to afford to do business as usual in the coming years. Also the competition has never been more fierce. there are SO many great products on the market and so many new ways to deliver products to the existing and emerging markets. All in all I just the time has come to make some big changes. So I will be adding several discontinued items back in to the RBG store over the next day or two for this big final sale and then ending July 1st the Red box games store will be closed down. I will continue posting about miniatures and cool fantasy news items and the efforts of other small studios in the table top industry here on the Red Box Games facebook as I figure out what shape RBG is going to take going forward. But the entire current catalog is going into permanent retirement. I WILL NOT be selling RBG to any other businesses. So if you want these items you will need to get them from me before the end of June. Cheers Yall! Tre'

Forge of Ice: Upcoming Fantasy Pulp Lion Women of Azor and Lion Companions

Forge of Ice has just previewed these marvellous Lion Women of Azor along with their fierce companions sculpted by Tre Manor of Red Box Games.

They're works-in-progress, they're not quite complete yet.  Also, there's a second spearwoman in the works, to match this first one.  I was too excited to keep them to myself anymore! The Lion Women of Azor have been training and raising lions since the city was founded a thousand years ago. After so much time selectively breeding the animals, they're not quite the same as lions from the outside world. They have a temperament more similar to dogs than to wild lions - Azorian Lions see humans as part of their pride, and respond well to verbal commands.

As soon as they are weaned from their mothers, cubs are given to an adolescent girl to raise - usually a member of the nobility, but occasionally a wealthy merchant's daughter or even a favored servant. As the old saying goes, "No home is complete until you have a fountain in your courtyard and a lion for your daughter." A lion is greatly valued as a status symbol, pet, guard, and companion.

Red Box Games: Tre Manor Venturing into The Realm of Plastic Fantasy Miniatures - Now on Kickstarter

Red Box Games launched a Kickstarter to fund the production for their excellent fantasy miniatures sculpted by Tre Manor in plastic. Looking to grab some Red Box Games miniatures cheaper, please read on ...

Epic Fantasy miniatures in high quality plastic. Vikings, barbarians, valkyries, berserkers, undead, mystics and monsters! Note, reading about this project online these miniatures will be produced in plastic but not the usual hard-plastic (as from Perry Miniatures, Warlord Games and the like) but in a more bendy plastic which was also used for Zombicide by Cool Mini or Not if I recall correctly

With this kickstarter we plan to fund the production of Fantasy themed warband starter sets for use in skirmish table top gaming. With each warband set containing all the basic elements needed to play a game of any of a variety of popular table top skirmish games. At the outset, each starter box will contain 5 semi modular warrior figures repeated three times per box for a total of 15 miniatures. These figures include 4 weapon and shield warriors and one archer.

Red Box Games: Plastic Fantasy Viking Miniatures by Tre ManorIt is my hope to be able to expand the offering in each starter box as the funding allows me to afford more molds. These expanded offerings might include additional troop types for expanded tactical variety or alternate sculpts to replace repeated sculpts for greater variety.

The first Warband Set offered is Njorning hirdmen set which includes ;12 hirdmen warriors, and 3 huntsmen. Each of the hirdmen is semi modular being fitted for universally interchangeable heads and right hand options. The right hand options included with the set are 2 swords, 2 axes, a mace and a spear repeated three times in the box for a total of 18 weapon options. There are also 6 different head options repeated three times in the box as well for a total of 18 head options. The archer model is fitted only for a modular head.

Red Box Games: Norse Warrior Miniatures Kickstarter

Red Box Games: Please help us to fund the production of these six new Njorn Character figures. The sculpting for these figures is done, the resin mastering for these figures is also done, All that is left to do now is to produce the spin cast molds that will be used to cast the the metal copies and to then cast those copies in sufficient quantity to satisfy demand, this process usually only requires about a month to complete. However given the MASSIVE workloads on the very few contract casting services in the US means now that delays in production are very likely and can also be very lengthy.

In an effort to avoid any lengthy delays and I am going to keep this kickstarter campaign very limited in scope. This way there is far less likelihood of problems in production. All of these figures are cast in a single piece and will be cast in high quality lead free white metal and will be supplied with a 25 mm round plastic base.
