TinMan Miniatures: Kickstarter Campaign 2013 Update
TinMan Miniatures: Thank you for the amazing first week! We're thrilled at the level of support we've seen, it's incredibly rewarding. You are making this project a reality!
We wanted to let you know about a new development to our campaign. We've had a lot of questions about combining website orders with the Kickstarter, which ends up being basically impossible to set up logistically (the website orders are processed via PayPal; the Kickstarter is processed via Amazon, who does not support PayPal; and so on).
We have decided to make our entire line of miniatures (except for bases) available as add-ons, available to anyone who pledges at the Canis Trainer level or higher. These are strictly add-ons, and are not part of any pledge level. The graphic is attached at the end of this update. Additionally, to make it easier to add totals, and to keep the total numbers tidy, we're offering a discount on all of these add-on miniatures. Their prices are rounded down to the nearest 50 cents or dollar! Domestic shipping is still included in these prices, and international shipping is still only $9! Please help spread the word in any way you can -- posting to forums, sharing on Facebook and Twitter, or even emailing friends who you know would love these figures! Sally 4th: Warchest Storage Box Reviewed!
It has been a while so here's a new review! The kind lads over at Sally 4th have send me one of their useful wooden lasercut storage boxes called Warchests. Really interested in how easy the construction will turn out? Read on as the Warchest can turn out to be very useful when storing your miniatures or paints in a neat and tidy way and they are even stackable!
The box
The Warchest building set came packed in a ziplock bag with attached manual for easy construction. The set was send in a a padded enveloppe making sure that everything arrived in good shape so no broken or cracked pieces! So the set arrived in great condition, up to the content and construction!
The Warchest I received was 70mm high and has an inlay for a massive 48 GW slottabase miniatures! The entire set consists out of 13 lasercut MDF parts that includes the pieces of the box, lid and the inlay. The parts were all well-lasered but the only complain I had was when I tested the inlay with a slottabase it got stucked in the inlay as the fit was really tight and the used base wasn't even painted and varnished.

The assembly
As said the set came with a great illustrated manual fully explaining the construction of the box and lid. This manual really made the construction straightforward and the only thing you need is some time and woodglue!
For the cosntruction I first began with the actual box which is easy to construct as everything fits well and can be easily assembled using woodglue. After I had assembled the box, I constructed the lid which took a little longer as the parts fitted tighter. Then I glued the inlay into the box and attached the support beams (make sure to glue in the inlay before you glue in the box support beams!)
The conclusion
If everything went well in the construction phase your Warchest should look as the one shown in the picture! I really like the look of the finished Warchest and I'm looking forward in filling it with my freshly painted Science Fiction rebel force. As you can see from the pictures the lid can also be used as a tray to move your troops to the table or use to throw dices and store your reinforcements or casualties. As previously mentionned this Warchest is only one of the variants that's available from Sally 4th and you can find a lot more variants on their website or ask for a custom made one! I'm surely convinced of the advantages of these storage boxes and when needing more storage boxes I will certainly consider Sally 4th as a very good source for fullfilling my storage needs.

Here are the infantry for the GOTA Clans, a freedom-loving faction of humans who have rebelled successfully against Zantin rule, until a great new Zantin emperor and his skilled generals begin the monumental task of reunifying the empire.The GOTA Clan Ground Forces are very aggressive and well-armed, but only lightly armoured and at times lacking in discipline. They are useful in the attack but are seen as overall somewhat inferior to their opposite numbers, the Skutari of the Zantin Legions, who have been sculpted and will be released toward the end of the year.

Underfire Wargaming: Hello everyone!, I am currently working on setting up my own small miniatures company. I am aiming to produce my ranges both in 15mm sci fi and 28 - 30mm sci fi. I have a planned setting though if all goes well I do plan to run contests of fan artwork and produce ranges voted by the wargaming community at large. I am aiming to create an interesting and unique range of miniatures mostly based on my in development, however also well priced to be open to all wargamers to be used in any game system they want. These current 3D sculpts have been done by none other than Andrea Tarabella himself and his wife Francesca Musumeci. The prints were done by Moddler. Without further wait here are some images of the firs two master prints, for the Coalition Wulv'man Infantry, they are 38mm in height if standing fully straight.

Warsmith: Warboard, the Innovative Gaming Mat
