World of Twilight: World of Twilight: The Crooked Trade Outpost - Legends of Anyaral is a random little side project that will let me play with big buildings and creatures that simply wouldn’t work in the usual scale. I took the very simplistic approach of sculpting everything half the usual size, which effectively makes it a 15mm range. The first sculpt I did was of a piece of Fubarnii architecture that I sketched during Inktober 2017; the Crooked Trade Outpost. Full Kickstarter here

World of Twilight: Upcoming Loranti Trader, Casanii Youngsters and More

World of Twilight: I've been teasing you with work in progress shots of the trader for the last week or so, so it is finally time to share him in all his painted glory!

May I present Loranti Pargal, trader extraordinaire! This wealthy individual has made his fortune travelling across the vast lands of the Casanii, knowing (among countless other facts) where best to acquire the valuable tiklov larvae and how not to upset the leaders of Deruun tribes (a particularly important piece of information!). Joe has captured the character well with his painting - traders are not known for their subtlety, although Loranti has made an effort to blend in with the Casanii markings on his parasol. Loranti is being cast in high quality resin and will of course be available during the Kickstarter, which starts in just two days... 

So far I've shown you a few of the adults from the Casanii tribes, but now it's time to introduce the kids... Casanii youngsters don't get a particularly easy childhood - they get kicked out at an early age and told to come back to the tribe once they've proved themselves. These 'ferals' join established bands of other young Casanii, many of which have their own long-standing traditions and rituals. The adults will generally tolerate the ferals joining in their hunts, as long as they don't get in the way!

The ferals will be available to add to your pledge as a unit, which comes with a Brave, 4 ferals and 2 of their very friendly and loving pet mutts. I've heard rumours that the ferals sometimes capture the might Dompaku to ride on, so that might be something to sculpt in the future...

World of Twilight: New Big Stompy, Birdlion and Hadera Creatures Previewed

World of Twilight previewed these lovely creatures for the growing Twilight universe! Have been tempted by this game for ages and it will not be long before I finally buy some of the miniatures.

Joe has been working on the big beasties I sculpted earlier this year and has just finished off painting the birdlion and the hadera to accompany big stompy, so it seems like time for a group shot!

Welcome to Anyaral, a world steeped in history, where the once mighty have fallen and their slaves are victorious - at least for now. A world which echoes with the countless gentle hoofsteps of the diminutive but resilient Fubarnii, whose Empire spans the continent of vast plains where traders and strange beasts roam ever watchful of the fast limbs and savage claws of the Devanu, that proud race who now scavenge on the edges of a world they once ruled. A world where others feel that now is the time to stake a claim. This is the world of Twilight.

Twilight is the setting for a fantasy miniatures wargame, with a range of unique models that are available direct from Pyre Studios. It is however more than that. It is the culmination of a vision for a fantasy setting that avoids the normal races derived from the works of Tolkien and the ever-applicable excuse that 'a Wizard did it'. Twilight has a deep and complex history in which creatures and cultures have evolved, each in their own way. The game of Twilight explores this world, beginning in the settlements of the Empire, under constant attack from the vicious Devanu tribes that scrape a living by preying on livestock or unwary travellers. However, this is just the beginning and there is much more to be uncovered, as the world of the Fubarnii themselves is on the brink of change. If you are looking for a game of elves and goblins clashing it out in a no-holds-barred contest to beat your opponent's models into a bloody pulp, then you are probably looking in the wrong place. We can recommend half a dozen very good games that will keep you amused. However, if you are looking for something different, for a carefully thought out alternative fantasy world that you can get immersed in and possibly even influence, and for a fun, quick little game then it is just possible that you could be looking in the right place.

World of Twilight: Travels Through Anyaral Kickstarter Fully Funded

World of Twilight: I'm very excited to present this kickstarter! For the last year I've been working on the third Twilight book; Travels through Anyaral. It is now almost complete and this is your opportunity to help me get it into production (as well as getting some fun toys in the process)! If you have already tried World of Twilight then this is a great way to round off your collection with the new book, PLUS a limited resin edition model of Gil Masharl, Travelling Biologist, with his lizardy pet on his shoulder and an interesting hat.
