20mmZone: New PzKpfw 38 (T) German Tank Released

20mmZone: We are pleased to announce the launch of our new German PzKpfw 38 (T) German Tank of the Blitzkrieg era. This is a 20mmzone Rapid build kit consisting of 5 parts and will take you less than 10 minutes to assemble and build. See Picture below. 

The kit comes with build instructions should you need them. I built mine in just over 5 mins and that’s because my super glue took a while to set? The model has loads of detail built in, has metal tracks and turret with a plastic composite hull so weight is reduced making these cheaper to post. That’s not the only thing that’s reduced. When sold by old skytrex this retailed at £13.50 each. These have now been remastered, and built into this new format and are available at £8.50 each or in a three pack at £23.50. That’s also cheaper than multi-part plastic kits out there currently.

20mmZone: Free Product Incentive and Show Dates Announced

20mmZone: Free product incentive and show dates announced – 20mmZone 2014 Show Pre-orders incentive. With the vast expansions across Shell Hole Scenic’s, Early War miniatures and the growth of the 20mmZone, our total products codes now approaching 1700 items. As we that is Shell Hole Scenic’s and EWM including all the 20mmZone products, both trade in the 20mmZone “trade space” at shows, we cannot now carry as much non-pre-packed stock and separate figures. These are always available on our Web stores, but the logistics of carrying stock to shows will mean we just can’t fit all the loose stock in. However, don’t despair!

You can still order and pay for these and arrange for collection at a show we are attending. Both Ian and I want to encourage this and so we have come up with the following incentives and rewards for you pre-ordering our products for collection at shows:

• Pre-order and pay up to 5 days before the show on the web stores, 

• Check out as collect from store (No postage charge then) 

• That will earn you 5% of the order value towards you selecting from the joint ranges i.e. what you fancy or want on the day. This means you get additional free items that you choose at the show.

• If you spend £100 or more as a show pre-order, as described above, you will get 10% of the value of that order to select as free products from the show stock on the day. Not bad is it.

Because the joint EWM, SHS and 20mmZone ranges are now so vast, and growing, people often don’t realise all the goodies that we make until they see them at the 20mmZone trade space. Therefore, you can use the pre-order incentives we now provide to get free products, that you choose on the day of collection.

20mmZone: German Armour Advancing!

20mmZone: The Nashorn is another 20mmzone rapid build format model. The interior detail is just great, even cast in crew side arms and other interior detailing is visable. You will need the time saved in building these in under 10 minutes to paint all the extra detail built into the model.

We have even cut down the number of parts to reduce assembly time on this monster of a model as well. See below for details. The re mastered crewman comes as standard and when finished we may also include 2 more loaders from the old skytrex range once re-mastered and remoulded. 20mmZone: Allied Tanks are Coming!

Here's some more news from the 20mmZone: New British A9,A10, Archer and Bishop models from 20mmZone. These are our new additions dated 23rd September. We have the A9 and A10 Cruiser tanks. The A10 comes with the optional Basa hull mounted MG. The A9 has two mg turrets that are cast separately so can be positioned as required when built.

How easy are these to build? The hulls have loads of detail including tools, decking and engine cooling panels all moulded in so rapid build is possible with a sub 10 minute build time, less if your super glue sets quicker? Spend less time building your models and more time painting and using the models ! Get them to the field quicker with 20mmzone rapid build design format. Both these models are 20mmZone Rapid build designs and approximately 30% of the original all metal models weight. These are cast in a mixture of high detail Polyurethane plastic hulls and quality white metal tracks, turrets and machine gun fittings. The best bit is these are £8.50 each or £24 for 3 in a pack that comes with additional stowage. This makes doing the early Desert battles easier than ever before.

The Bishop is a great model and comes with a 25 pounder Caisson for towing behind the vehicle. Is the same lightweight, high detail rapid build design as the others in our range. The Caisson will probably take as long to build as the SPG – i.e. not long.

The Archer has come out better than we hoped as you can see here. It comes with 2 crew operating the gun and are the old Skytrex crew remoulded. Again, same rapid build format with high detail on the hull and interior of the gun position. The Bishop and Archer should be available at Derby but pre-orders are essential as we will have limited stock there.

EWM Webstore update: I have added the Matilda 1 and Matilda 2 models in singles @£8.50 each and packs of 3 with stowage @ £24 to the EWM web store now. Also, Valentines marks I, III & VIII have been added to the store. This completes most of the early war British tanks so doing the Early and middle Desert war has never been easier now with the 20mmzone. Come and see them in the flesh at the Derby show this weekend. 20mmZone: an Introduction to our New Business of WW2 Miniatures

Just found this excellent news from Ian Clunie from Shell Hole Scenic's and Paul Thompson of Early War Miniatures that they have startered a cooperation called 20mmZone in which both great companies will work together and produce the old Skytrex 20mm vehicles at cheaper prices and better quality! 20mmZone: In July 2013, Ian Clunie of Shell Hole Scenic’s (SHS) and Paul Thompson of Early War Miniatures (EWM), purchased all the models and equipments in the old Skytrex 20mm ranges. That did not include their figure or decal ranges, although there are a good number of crewmen for the vehicles and equipments included in what we bought. It seemed a great opportunity to take the finely made masters that we had viewed during our due diligence visit in the April and remould and present them anew to the war gaming and modelling worlds. We were struck by the superb way in which these master patterns had been made. We also believed that the original pricing of the former Skytrex models was too high and that the quality of their metal castings had declined. So we came up with a plan to remake these great models and present them in a new format. The ranges had some duplications that already existed in our own ranges, but the vast majority filled many holes and would take our ranges into new theatres and campaigns to model the interwar and WW2 periods.
