Perry Miniatures: Here is the first release of our Franco-Prussian War range. The Prussian plastic infantry will be released in July, but to start things off we have the Prussian cavalry. Prussian cavalry were always present during the 1870/71 engagements but generally suffered badly from French firepower or suicidal charges. They were obviously also used for scouting purposes and protecting convoys, even squadrons of Cuirassiers were drafted in to protect supplies from ambushes from Francs-tireurs. There's also a taste of the French forces to come with two artillery codes which will hopefully be out in a couple of weeks. There will be a more detailed post on the plastic Prussian Infantry boxes soon. The Dragoons and French artillery were beautifully painted by Rafa 'Archiduque' and the plastic Prussian infantry by the equally talented Stephan Huber.
