Rainn Studios: TerraTiles: Coasts & Rivers Tabletop Terrain System Kickstarter - The Final Countdown

Rainn Studios: A Tabletop Terrain System for Miniature Games, Wargames, and RPGs. Affordable, Portable, and Easy to Store - Covers 24 Square Feet!

The last few days have been big! We broke through the $55,000 stretch goal yesterday. That means that we will commission three more variant tiles. Combined with the $50,000 goal, we will have six artistic variants for some of the most common tiles. These will reduce repetition on your tabletop as you set up your TerraTiles.

518 backers with more than a week to go is an amazing accomplishment. In the comments section, the community has been busy generating lots of ideas for new stretch goals and new directions to take TerraTiles. Be sure to check out the conversation there if you have not already. We want to make Coasts & Rivers as robust as possible, while also working within our time and production constraints. So, here is what we came up with.

$65,000 Stretch Goal - If we make it to $65,000, we will commission three entirely new tiles: a sandy shore to beach transition, a stream flowing over the rocky coastline into the sea, and a path to road transition tile. We thought these three tiles were the most functional that had been recommended and will really serve to complete the Coasts and Rivers set. A special shout out to Rafe, C, and all of the others who got this conversation going! If your favorite tiles did not make this stretch goal, have no fear. We still have two backer-chosen tiles to vote on at the end of the campaign. We have noted all of the suggestions that people mentioned in the comments section and will compile them for a vote at the end of the campaign.

Smaller Changes: In order to accommodate the new tiles, we did drop one tile from the land bridge set that will be included when we make it to 1,500 social media shares. We have also taken note of the comments regarding the muddy area. We are still in the process of evaluating it to make sure that it has sufficient utility and makes a meaningful contribution to the set.

All of the necessary graphics on the Kickstarter page have been updated to reflect where we stand right now. Please do note that if we reach these goals then a lot of new artwork will need to be commissioned. That could potentially impact the delivery date of the set, but we felt it was in everyone’s interest to make the best terrain set possible. We will do our best to keep everything on schedule.
