Games Workshop: Erebor and Dale plastic boxed sets


New from Games Workshop, More Elf, Erebor and Dale plastic boxed sets. Not keen on the sculpts and especially the prices!

Warriors of Erebor

The Garrison of Erebor consisted of a mighty throng of warriors - well trained and highly disciplined Dwarven fighters whose loyalty to their king was unflinching. Clad in fine Dwarf-wrought armour and wielding weapons that were the envy of Middle-earth, these sturdy soldiers were a match for almost any foe. 

The Warriors of Erebor come in an array of dynamic poses, ranging from raising a shield from an attack above, or thrusting forward a long spear or sword. They carry studded octagonal shields and wear either chainmail or tunics; some wear armour across their shoulders, or masked helmets. Each of the twelve Dwarves features unique expressions, styles of hair or beards, making them a characterful addition to your collection of miniatures. This plastic kit contains 30 components and twelve 25mm round bases with which to make twelve Warriors of Erebor. Price: a whopping  €30 for 12 plastic miniatures?

Warriors of Dale

The wealth of Dale, City of Men, ensures its soldiers have quality armour and fine Dwarven weapons. When not protecting their homeland, these men can be seen on ships bound for distant wars. The Warriors of Dale kit is made up of ten uniquely posed miniatures. Each one wears chainmail, thick tunics, sturdy boots and long flowing robes, and they also carry a range of weapons - bow, spear and sword - as well as a richly decorated shield. Particularly notable about these miniatures are their ornate fur-lined helmets that finish in a point.  This plastic kit contains 27 components and ten 25mm round bases with which to make ten Warriors of Dale. Price: a sick €30!

Grim Hammers

When the Dwarves gather to mete out a terrible vengeance, the vanguard is often made of Grim Hammers. Stalwart Dwarf warriors shod head to toe in gleaming battle plate and shining mail, they advance with deadly intent. These twelve Grim Hammers are stout and sturdy figures, and come appropriately equipped for defending the halls of Erebor. Each wears chainmail and is covered from beard to toe in heavy armour. Each model takes a unique pose, swinging their pick hammers or sharp axes at different angles. Their glorious beards hang down underneath masked helmets.This plastic kit contains 30 components and twelve 25mm round bases with which to make twelve Grim Hammers. Price: €30.

Knights of Rivendell

An elite band of warriors formed of the nobles in Elrond's house, the Knights of Rivendell are formidable cavalrymen. Their devastating charges leave shield walls in tatters, whilst their nimble steeds can weave and dodge through even dense woodland with ease. These six Knights of Rivendell miniatures are highly dynamic figures, and a beautiful addition to any The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey collection. With their cloaks billowing around them, they wearing elegant Elven armour and carry ornate shields, and long lances - though there are also options for one to carry a banner. They come in multiple poses, each one a variant of a Knight of Rivendell riding their steed into battle. The kit also comes with casualties, to denote a fallen Knight of Rivendell. This plastic kit contains 54 components and six 40mm round bases with which to make six Knights of Rivendell. The price of these six models is €40.00!
