Crisis 2012: Give away miniature

"Here it is : the free Crisis 2012 figure for the first 1000 through the door. He's Peter Minuit who was born from Belgian parents but worked for the Dutch government as a governor of New Netherlands in America and founded new Sweden. He bought Manhattan from the Indians for 24$ worth of trinkets (hence the chest)." Well he looks great and I'm eager to add this excellent Paul Hicks sculpt to my collection of Crisis Convention miniatures!

I always think that the Indians who 'sold' Manhattan get a rough deal. They didn't own the land anyway, were probably going to get shot or killed if they didn't (look at all the treaties the US government reneged on with the native Americans) and they got some shiny stuff into the bargain.

Sounds reasonable 24$ for Manhattan, imagine the value of the land in it's current state and at this very moment! But you're right if they did not sold it they would have probably taken it by force.
