Tengu Models: Kappa Preview

Hi, here's a preview of an upcoming release of Kappa Miniatures by Tengu Models! Kappa's are a sort of river dwellers which are often found in Japanese Folklore sometimes they are blamed to be the abductors of little children. I have seen some pictures of Kappa creatures but never saw creatures with a shield on their bag like a tortoise. But well, it looks cool and especially as they armed they can be used as native inhabitant of swamps and boglands for fantasy games!

Here you can see a painted example by the talented Einar Olafson, the eventual range will include enough troops for a small skirmisher forve including ranged units with blowpipes, sjamans and even Kappa's in salvaged samurai armour! Now that's cool!

Good question as Tengu Models has stopped trading and the owner started Toad King Castings. Will shoot him an email so check these comments, I will post the reply here.

Hello there, just received news. The kappa sculpts were sold to Khurasan Miniatures a couple of years ago but I think these haven't been released yet. Cheers
