Hi, I just found this file that is said to be of an ex Games Workshop employee covering all the releases for warhammer 40K and Lord of the Rings during 2012-2013. I was really looking forward to the Lord of the rings releases but now I have read the list and the comments and other rumours on other forums and blog I must admit I'm dissapointed!
All the newly released characters will be made of Finecast, well that's really the worst thing they could have done as their metal model character will stand the test of time with ease and can be stripped and repainted when necessary!
Secondly most of the releases will be probably sold at an even higher price as their will be a larger demand of children who want to refight the Battle of the Five armies full scale and that around €5 a miniature, that battle won't be cheap I can guarantee you!
But despite these rumours we can only hope they release nice miniatures so we can use them as an inspiration source and refight the Hobbit's perilious quest with miniatures of other makers and when succumbing some lone GW miniatures!

5 pounds a fig!!!!!!!! I´d pay that for character figs , but not for run of the mill soldiery!

They now sell a command unit of four miniatures hardly characters for around €30! Blimey!
They seem to be operating totally impervious to all feedback. I for one would certainly have been interested to have picked up some characters but £5! Not so sure now.
