Empress Miniatures: Kickstarter coming to a succesful end!

Empress Miniatures: Well, we are into the final stretch, and continue to be amazed by people's response to what must be one of the most successful 'historical'-themed miniatures Kickstarter projects ever! The whole process has been nothing but amazing, and we really appreciate all of your help, comments, support and feedback from the last 25+ days.

As a small 'thank you', we have prepared a little surprise that might be useful to some of you. Very soon after this project ends, we are going to be opening a 'secret' page on the Empress Miniatures website. This will require a password to enter, and will only be available to backers who have pledged at levels which unlock stretch-goals and above. This page will have available our entire current modern miniatures line at a 20% discount for a very limited time! That will include miniatures and vehicles!

We will check email addresses against names for this, so please use your backer name/mail when accessing this site. An email will go out to everyone eligible soon after the project ends (early next week, most likely).

Anything ordered via this special page will ship now – you won't have to wait until your backer-items are ready. We will keep this page available until around the start of September, giving anyone who wants to a good chance to take advantage.

In the meantime, we have a couple of superbly painted examples of the new figures funded by this project. One by Steven May showing a pair of mean U.S.M.C. in woodland MARPAT, and the other by Richard Eddon (Hairy Painter) showing our NZSAS free figure mounted on a remarkably effective base. Both examples tackle some of the toughest camouflage patterns to paint, and we think the results are brilliant.

Looks like NZ's very own VC winner Willie Apiata: http://www.stuff.co.nz/world/3252134/Apiatas-Afghan-exploits-revealed.

Look like he was the reference for that model! Hadn't heard of him before thanks for sharing.
