Kerberos Productions: Print Your Own Minis With Kerberos Productions

Kerberos Productions: The future is now! Kerberos Productions launches their new board games division by offering 3D printing files to the audience.

The line between Pixels, Paper and Plastic is growing increasingly thin, and many devs for video games, television and film are translating their 3D modeling skills from the small screen to the tabletop market. Kerberos Productions, the developers of Sword of the Stars, Kaiju-a-Gogo and Sword of the Stars; The Pit, are joining the 3D revolution with the launch of their new board games division. Their first tabletop project is The Pit Board Game, a cooperative dungeon crawler which features the colorful player characters and epic monsters of the Sword of the Stars universe. To create the miniatures for the game, artist John Yakimow sculpted his video game characters using 3D art programs and a FormLabs Form 2 printer. His team is continuing its long history of empowering their audience by offering their supporters the 3D files from the game to print their own minis at home. Files for printing will be provided in STL format, which is compatible with most 3D printing platforms. The files are available as part of the Engineer Pledge Level on the company's Kickstarter.
