Otherworld Miniatures released new high-quality fantasy miniatures for their already huge fantasy dungeon miniature range. This time they have released miniatures for the popular Dark Tower, Dungeon and Dragons expansion!
In 1981, as a neophyte DM just starting to get my head around the new AD&D rules, I bought a copy of the Judge's Guild adventure 'Dark Tower'. I was immediately captivated by the campaign (it's really much more than an adventure), from it's detailed NPCs, vile monsters and heroic allies, as well as the epic scale of the eternal battle between the deities of Set and Mitra.
I should have been revising for my O Levels, but I had gaming to do! Thirty six years of dice-rolling later, it is still the best adventure that I have run or played, and it now gives me the greatest pleasure for Otherworld Miniatures to release the first wave of a range of official Judge's Guild licensed miniatures for the Dark Tower setting.
Over the last few months, we have been working with Jennell Jaquays, author of the original adventure, and Bob Bledsaw II, owner of Judge's Guild, along with our usual sculptors (Paul Muller and Jo Brumby, so far) and Andrew Taylor, our talented painter. Our first releases are now ready, and they include;
JGDT1 - Lions of Mitra (3) (also available individually)
JGDT2 - Minions of Set (2) (also available individually)
JGDT3 - Khonar the Dissenter
JGDT4 - Carnivorous Apes (2) (also available individually)
JGDT5 - Omphalos, Guardian Naga
We are already hard at work on wave 2, with more monsters, NPCs and characters to follow soon.
