Manorhouse Workshop: Many of you asked us to show you how a 3D Bases would fare, once painted and completed, if we were to rough it up the same way we did the unpainted version.
Here is the result. We must warn you that “viewer discretion is advised” before watching the video ; it’s not for the faint of heart.Quite a tragic result isn’t it ? The base is being bent, twisted, and you can hear its suffering cries for help … but in the end, the base is still here, unaffected, without a scratch or any kind of damage.
Now, a bit more of details about this test. Our 3D base was painted and completed 4 months ago, and the test was done twice due to our first test video not being done quite right. The base was painted with acrylic colors and grass fibers were glued (with PVA). The overall result ? a flexible base, with flexible colors, elastic glue, which permits a complete flexibility of the base.
Of course, the 3D Bases main reason of being isn’t to have fun punishing them in such a manner, but to relive fantastic adventures to all of you. We thus really hope that giving some punishment to your 3D Bases won’t become an hobby of yours.
