Shieldwolf Miniatures has launched their long awaited War is Coming: Shieldmaidens vs Orcs Kickstarter to fund their Shieldmaidens and Valley Orcs miniatures. The main goal of the kickstarter is to fund the production of two hard plastic kits being the core infantry for the Valley Orcs and Shieldmaidens.
"War is Coming" is a miniature battle game for 2 or more players that brings mass battles and tactical thinking onto the tabletop. Players control their fantasy armies in epic battles in order to defeat their opponents in unit-based combat within an amazing new fantasy setting! The game includes superb miniatures both in sculpt quality and material – High Impact Polystyrene Plastic (HIPS) and polyurethane resin. So go ahead! Choose a side, deploy your army and march forward. War is Coming!
In our first Kickstarter we managed to fund some amazing centerpieces, like the Great War Mammooth, the Battle Wyvern and the Siberias Lions. This Kickstarter is focused more on the infantry kits we need for our game. With your help it will allow
- The funding of an entire Shieldmaiden army (incuding plastic infantry kits, monstrous cavalry, characters and mythical beasts)
- The funding of an entire Valley Orc army (including plastic infantry kits, monstrous cavalry, characters and mythical beasts)
- The funding of additional plastic kits for the Krumvaal Northern Alliance and the Orc faction, along with mercenary armies. And if it goes high enough, even more surprises!
All plastic sets featured in this project include fully modular kits that literally allow thousands of assembly options. Heads, weapons, shields, arms, bodies, backs... Everything illustrated below will give you the freedom of choice during assembly. Not only that but the arms and heads are also rotatable for maximum modularity.
