Manorhouse Workshop: Hard-Plastic Modular Sewer and Dungeon Terrain Kickstarter Coming Soon!

Manorhouse Workshop's long awaited Modular Sewer and Dungeon Terrain is going to be launched soon now! For your interest, I have gathered the following available information.

The goal of the Kickstarter campaign is to fund the actual tooling and production of hard-plastic modular sewer and dungeon sprues to be used as terrain in wargames and roleplaying. These sprues feature all sorts of nice scenery such as floors, walls, doors, grating, pillars and so on.

Designing the Scenery

I have been following the development of this promising product through contact with Lorenzo, owner of Manorhouse Workshop from the very beginning so here's a short walkthrough. The first step was the creation of the master models by hand in a variety of materials based on technical drawings. You can see these models is the following pictures, by creating these masters by hand the designer maintains the natural textures and character often lacking fully digital sculpted terrain.

The next step is to turn the master models in digital files which are then used to make steel production moulds for the eventual plastic injection. I have attached some pictures of the digital renders for the multi-part walls and doors.

The last step is the plastic injection moulding resulting in the following awesome hard-plastic sprues. A large collection of these sprues and others will form the content of the Oblivion Boxed Set which is the main pledge for the upcoming Kickstarter.

Content of the Oblivion Boxed Set

The content of the Oblivion Boxed Set pledge is a whole assortment of highly-detailled hard-plastic modular sewer and dungeon scenery bits. The following list has been published by Manorhouse Workshop. You will find inside of the box: 12 large walls, 6 small walls, 6 sewer floors, 6 stone floors, 18 dynamics walls: in various designs and sizes, 3 doors, 6 gratings, 6 cover pillars and about thirty caps for junction walls and floors.

The price for one of these Oblivion Boxed Set will be set at $55.00 (roughly €49), the good news is when you buy multiple boxed sets the price comes down significantly. When you for example buy two boxed sets the price will be set at $100.00 (roughly €88) saving you a nice chunk of money!

Dungeon and Sewer Showcase

Here are some pictures showing what you can achieve by combining multiple dungeon sets into very nice dungeon tables! Forget cardboard dungeons and grab some of these boxes as venturing into deep dungeons will be awesome with great modular terrain as shown below.

Compatibility

Another nice thing about these upcoming hard-plastic dungeon pieces is that they are fully compaitible with the already available terrain made by Dwarven Forge! So you can combine and mix these pieces to create even more impressive dungeon tables! Check these excellent pictures.

Painting your dungeon!

Lorenzo of Manorhouse Workshop has also been so kind to share a nice and easy illustrated dungeon painting tutorial. Check this tutorial here at Manorhouse Workshop.

Interested in this nice terrain, stay tuned for the upcoming Kickstarter launch!
