Spiral Arm Studios: Maelstrom's Edge Kickstarter: The 28mm Epirian Scarecrow Robot Revealed!

Spiral Arm Studios: We proudly present the Epirian Scarecrow robot! Scarecrows are area patrol units, designed to provide security to various types of property ranging from industrial perimeters to agricultural and terraforming facilities. The unit is anthropomorphic and stands a touch over 2 meters tall. Equipped with an advanced suite of thermal and motion tracking sensors, the Scarecrow is designed to detect and deter any non-authorized biological or technological intrusion into its designated patrol area.

The Scarecrow is typically armed with a high powered Maglock Rail-Rifle as its primary ranged weapon. With these, the Scarecrow is capable of accurate and devastating fire at range, more than enough to force even the most heavily armored opponents to dive for cover. In addition to ranged stopping power, the Scarecrow also features a Heavy Chemtek dispersal unit. These pest control neurotoxin distribution systems are capable of rendering areas temporarily lethal to organics. The Chemtek systems are also capable of being modified into full high temp cling-flame units. Cruel and difficult to extinguish, Clingfire is capable of decimating infantry units and burns hot enough to damage vehicles and light armour.

The Epirian Scarecrow sprue is amongst the most advanced we've ever produced. 6 tool parts combine to create unprecedented detail and an almost complete lack of seams with minimal mould lines. The Scarecrow is the first 28mm scale robot we are aware of to have such flexibility, with ball joints at the hips and shoulders, and highly flexible posing at the knees, elbows and feet, allowing an incredible scope for flexibility. You could build a hundred scarecrows and have no two look alike. The legs are so flexible that the Scarecrow can be posed climbing over things, running, standing on things, etc. If you are a fan of creating dioramas or action-heavy poses, the Scarecrow is an absolute must have for your modeling collection if nothing else!
