In Nord, players are leading their Vikings into a fight for the dominance over the Lofoten, a small chain of islands off today's Norwegian coast. Players employ their farmers, hunters and warriors. They need to form alliances with other settlements initially, to be able to conquer Jarle at the right moment. Alternatively, players may put their stakes on resources, by collecting wood, fish or ore – and this way increase their influence.
Nord is expected to stand out by its extensive freedom of choice, multiple tactical possibilities and a variable game board. And yet the game mechanics will be easy to pick up. In place of stretch goals and rewards Kronberger Spiele is going to present an expansion with several gaming variants, a double-sided game board as well as enhanced material components.
