Wargames Illustrated: Wargames Illustrated 'Battles in Literature' Released

Wargames Illustrated: We have two best-selling authors contributing to the magazine for us this month. Simon Scarrow tells us about his love of wargaming, and how it has influenced his writing over the years. We follow up Simon's piece with a scenario featuring characters from his Roman Eagle series of books. Bernard Cornwell contributes a piece in which he discusses how he wove the history of the American Revolution into his book, The Fort. This is followed by two articles that take The Fort as their theme for a wargame, including an award-winning show-circuit game from Germany.

Shakespeare also makes an appearance as part of our theme content. Unfortunately, we don't actually have him writing for us, but we do feature an article in which his most famous anti-hero, Macbeth, plays a part. We've got another 16 articles to enjoy outside of our theme content, including one in which the digital issue features this month's video – a quick-fire guide to the new Osprey rules, Lion Rampant. Wargames Illustrated 323 is available now from you local hobby retailer, WH Smith, via our website, or digitally from the Apple, Amazon and GoogleApp stores.
