Wargames Foundry: All Discontinued Ranges Back in Production!

Wargames Foundry: The wonderful website may take a while: but while we are waiting..,........ We’ve decided that we will attempt to offer all of our currently discontinued ranges for sale again!

As it happens, our new man Rob is already working steadily towards a brand new extraordinarily efficient website that would include all our models, however, it’s hard to say how long that is really going to take, and now we have grown tetchy with the burden of long anticipation. We know that it must be a tedious thing to our customers that many ranges are not available to them: it has been even more tedious to us.

So, we are going to cast caution to the winds and cast up anything you want that we have a functional mould for These ranges include: Normans and Saxons (Michael Bickley), Perry sculpted Odds and Ends, Marlburians (Adam Gayford), Persians (by Martin Buck), Seven Years War French and Ancient Gauls (Rob Baker), English Civil War (Michael Percy), Zulu Wars (Ronnie made the Zulus and Rob Baker made the British) A huge range of 18th/early 19th C. armed Civilians also Elizabethans, Medievals and Renaissance by Ronnie Shilton. Rob sculpted a fine selection of character groups/vignettes that have barely seen the light of day. See the mixed batch of photos below.

it's important to point out that some Previously Unreleased or Rereleased models may not be in the current sculpting style of our main ranges: in fact many of the sculptors involved have their own distinctive or even rather eccentric style. We will let you know if ranges are not in our usual style: you are welcome to ask for a sample from whatever range you're interested in the next time you make an order with us! [maximum one sample from three different ranges mind!] Email us to let us know you are interested and we will send you the pictures we have for the relevant ranges. You're very welcome to ring us up or email for more information or to make an order.

We don't actually have lists of many of these lost ranges at the moment, though we plan to get to that shortly, but we do have images for many of these ranges which we will email to you on request. We should be able to offer these mostly unreleased ranges in the relatively near future. We will let you know when they become available: Hittites, Nubians, Ancient Spaniards, Bronze Age, Germanic Tribesmen, Chinese. Also unexpected Gothickish Science Fiction from and Tim Prowif we manage to get round to moulding them (very nice Space Goblinz) . Those models that are in a sculpting style different from what you might expect from Foundry, probably won't end up on our new web site. But if there is a reasonable demand we will eventually put them up on a site of their own.

This policy may well result a number of potentially irksome side effects:

- It will drive our casters crazy as they will be stuck doing many short runs.
- It will slow up our turnaround on orders somewhat.
- You may end up in a queue for popular returning models.
- We do not have catalogue pages for some of the unavailable ranges.

And it will probably create many other problems that we will all shortly discover, and of course our existing web site will meanwhile continue to be as cranky and inconvenient as ever. However, we still feel that we should give it a go! Ring us if there is anything in particular that you want to track down. Our re-release plans will not include the Kevin Adams Fantasy models though: they will soon have a new home of their very own.
