Mantic Games: Everyone’s favourite Elastopod Avenger was put up late last night and boom, you’ve swiped Schnorkel aside, locking him free into pledges of Rampages and up! But that’s not all. In addition to all the stats and background, the Rulebook also contains new additions that build on the existing DreadBall mechanics.
The biggest of these are Achievements – a range of special abilities that can be done in game to unlock rewards and experience in exchange for doing the more difficult and risky things in DreadBall. As an example (and not necessarily one that will make into a rulebook)
A Strike that is scored having passed the ball between three different players may generate an achievement, as might the most brutal player in a match. The rules also introduce bonuses for Tripling a dice result, with further achievements for doing so! The DreadBall Season 5 Rulebook is our next stretch goal.
