Just found this cool application called Gruntz 15mm Barracks. It is a desktop application including a download for Windows and Mac OS users. Barracks allows you to setup unit cards, print them and save the JPG of the card for future use. The Unit types include those in the Gruntz game and it was designed to print the cards so you can store them in collector sleeves or group the JPG images on a sheet by using Word or an equivalent program to group the JPG profiles together.
You can use your own unit images or any other artwork like a faction logo can be placed as the image in the application. It is best to use a camera phone or normal camera photo of your own models because you get an excellent visual reference on the card to the actual models you intend to use in the game. In this sample card you can see the Imperator Mecha which is an offical Gruntz 15mm multi-part resin model which can be purchased from Critical Mass Games in the UK. I have dragged a photo onto the card to be used as a visual reference and all the various statistics can be tweaked to allow adjustments in payload, skill, size class etc. The various unit types are listed along the top bar.
This video is an overview of the project we completed to create the Gruntz 15mm Barracks application. If you watch the video from a point at about 4mins you can see a demo of the application in action. Interested in this very useful and much downloaded application rewarded with the best silver seller trophee? The best is it's now available at the Wargame Vault for only $5.00 by following this link!
