The Warring States period saw the rise of powerful Daimyos and ultimately an emergence of the Great Unifiers - Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
One of the Great Unifiers, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, then initiated an invasion of Japanese forces into Korea, which ultimately led to a stalemate on his path to conquering China. With Early and Late Warring Clans armies, you can use traditional weaponry, or bring new and more powerful gunpowder weapons to battle with the latter. Also, you can stymie your opponents' plans with Shinobi! The Ikko-Ikki bring forces that opposed local governors, and have their famous religious banners to keep your troops inspired and in the fight.
Moving on to the invasion of Korea, the Joseon Dynasty and Ming Chinese armies contain a variety of interesting weaponry, war machines and tactics to repel their invaders!
