VSF-project the start

Here are some pictures of one of my most recent project. I also added some fluff because I needed some sort of guiding line. Some of these pictures will compete in the lead adventure forum-competition but enough let the pictures come,...

The pterodactyls, one of the most interesting species to be found in Mbuij Mayi(part of Central Congo I use for pulp-games). These dinosaurs are used by many native tribes for warfare and other duties. Found in the high mountains surrounding Mbuij Mayi, they are caught and trained to become loyal and especially fierce warmachines!

These units were made with pieces from the wargamesfactory zulu-sprue, the pterodactyls were cheap dinosaurs I found on the attic.

First of all the legendary native pterodactyl riders know for their courage and loyalty. These warriors are the elite guard of the native king of Mbuij Mayi. These riders are excellent soldiers trained in close combat and are know for their precision with the throwingspear.

But because this is the elite force of the king not everybody may serve within this unit. there are many restrictions and rules to join the aircorps of Mbuij Mayi.

- You must be over the age of 17 years.
- You must be an excellent warrior who has defeated at least 3 enemies.
- Your family must have a high social status ( several exceptions are allowed).
- When you join the corps you may not be married or have children.
- When you sign you must sign for 10 years.
- Your family must be a family that has already been in the tribe for 4 generations.
- ...

Here are some pictures of my war gorrilas, these figures are cheap plastic animals I found when I was decluthering the attic to make place for my new gameroom!

These apes will be used to face my British expedition force who wants to explore, conquer and colonise Mbuij Mayi.

The apes themselves will be used by the natives as some kind of trolls with immense power and a huge capacity off taking bullets!

This kind of ape can be found in the dense and foggy jungles of Mbuij Mayi, more especially near the Black Mountains were they chased away the Suri-inhabitants.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here you can see one of my British vehicles, this vehicle was built with pieces of plastic card, cartonboard, balloonsticks and the tracks were from a small cheap tank.

I hope this tank armed with a small canon will help the British to survive the fierce native attacks they will encounter. The tank will be manned by one driver who is also the gunner!

This tracked vehicle is made to endure the most harh conditions and can be used on all fronts.
From deserts and plains to muddy forests and native capitals!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and as you already know stay tuned for more news and pictures!

greets,

For a really good VSF guide to the world of dinosaurs and their domestication you should go here:

http://www.dinotopia.com/

Also the books are fantastic with really great illustrations even if the text is a little lame and predicatable.
