Vietnam 1/72 (part I)

Here some photos of my vietnam terrain, more photos will follow soon (the batteries of the digital camera were empty)

This is a my US base (barracks and garages).
These barracks/ garage were made of 2 halfcirled bits of cartonboard and corrugated cardboard!! dead simple to make and fast to. I only needed 15 minutes to make, paint, and add some rusteffect.

In front of the picture you can see my watchtowers also simply to make only (10 minutes each for the creation and 10 minutes for painting). on the picture you can also see my jungle terrainpiece with homemade palmtrees.

The palmtrees were made with wire, some pieces of brown rope and some aquarium plants purchased in a local pet shop for around 4 euros (50 leafs that's 0.36 euro for 1 tree).

1) First you cut a piece of wire length: 7 cm.
2) Then you attach the leaves (4 or 3 for 1 tree) on the wire with a hotgluegun or some tape.
3) After that you cut a piece of brown rope long enough to cover the entire wire and you glue the start of the rope were the tree starts.
4) Now you must twist the rope around the wire untill it totally covered.
5) As last you paint the rope brown en you drybrush the brown with a lighter brown.

And as last picture you can see my scratchbuild vietnam hooch with some jungle terainpieces
