The Blackstone Fortresses are some of the mightiest weapons in the Warhammer 40,000 Universe. Just one was able to destroy Cadia, the bastion of humanity at the Eye of Terror. Supposedly constructed for 'The War in Heaven' their exact origins are a mystery as is their overall purpose. Foreboding and potent they have always been one of the galaxy’s biggest enigmas... Until now.
In Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress you will have the opportunity to investigate one of these monolithic alien structures for the first time. Choosing one of a range of unique characters you will have to overcome both fearsome adversaries and the inbuilt defences of the Fortress itself, as you delve into its interior and attempt to uncover the secrets within. Who will you choose for your party of four? The dashing Rogue Trader Janus Draik? The bestial Kroot Mercenary known as Dahyak Grekh? The lithe and inscrutable Eldar Amallyn Shadowguide? Perhaps Pious Vorne, the Vindictor-toting Missionary Zealot? She does have a Chainsaw with a Flamethrower attached after all! Whoever you select to be your explorers you will need to utilise their skills and wargear with maximum efficiency to ensure your survival, let alone success in the depths of the Blackstone Fortress. You will be facing off against the heretic forces of Chaos, including Traitor Imperial Guard (in plastic for the first time!) New Heretic Astartes and Beastmen, not to mention alien enemies like the Ur-Ghul.
Danger will confront you at every turn as you and your friends navigate the labyrinthine procedurally generated levels within ensuring that every game plays differently for maximum replayability. Or, should you so choose, you can elect to face the horrors within on a solo run, trusting on your explorer’s skills and instinct to help you survive. Level up your character as you progress and overcome greater and more insidious threats as you unlock the Fortress’s secrets in this new game in the acclaimed Warhammer Quest series.
