Breaking! Northstar Miniatures: Plastic Oathmark Elves and Humans Preview

Northstar Miniatures previewed their upcoming hard-plastic Elves and Humans for their new Oathmark fantasy wargame. These miniatures will be sold as modular figures in boxed sets of 30 miniatures. Check below for more information!

The Elvish Warriors

Are the feathers fixed on the helmets? They're separate on the sprue, so bare helmets are entirely viable. The officer has a triple-feather option as pictured, the other crests are single-feather, if something less ostentatious takes your fancy. What's the size of the shown bases? 25mm bases - this is standard for figures in the forthcoming Oathmark rules (but as discussed previously - see the FAQ - most other basing options will also work) and wat's the estimated release date for the elves? April! Will there also be cavalry? That's the plan. More character-based figures, such as heroes, wizards etc. will be in metal (as the previously released Dwarf and Goblin minis), but core units in plastic - and, like the plastic infantry boxes offer warriors, spearmen, and archers, most kits will offer a few different unit types.

The Human Warriors

The Humans are preparing for war! Will they stand with your forces, or fight against them? Here's a sneak peek at the Human test figure. Will the shields be separate? Shields will be separate on the plastic figures, so that's a simple switch if you prefer round shields. Is this miniature shown the final design? This model is a maquette for the plastic figures, it's not what you'll get in the plastic box set.

Check the previously released plastic Dwarves here in our thorough review. The new kits will probably follow the same sprue lay-out and weaponry options. These two new kits will expand the current range of Dwarves and Goblins with two more factions!
