Spiral Arm Studios: Maelstrom's Edge Science Fiction Wargame Give Away

Spiral Arm Studios: Following the successful completion of the Maelstrom's Edge Kickstarter, it is time for everyone here at Spiral Arm Studios to gear up towards bringing Battle For Zycanthus to the wider gaming community.

We are now building upon the active Maelstrom's Edge community and we are dedicated to providing as many avenues for play and interaction as possible. This started with the forum on Dakka Dakka and is now spreading like a wave of cybel energy across social media.

The first target is Facebook. We now have a dedicated group for Maelstrom Edge players. In the few weeks since it launched the membership and content has grown quite rapidly, but there's always room for more! The group is a great place for players to discuss the game, the models and the fiction (fluff); showing off their painted armies and gorgeous terrain. As the game is new, this will also be a great resource in finding opponents and arranging games. More pictures of the miniatures can be found here when they were previewed at Salute last year, just before the Kickstarter launch. Pictures below kindly supplied by Wargame News and Terrain.

To help launch the group, we're holding a competition for members to win signed copies of the first two Maelstrom's Edge novels Faith and Sacrifice, written by Tomas L Martin & Stephen Gaskell. To be in with a chance of winning, you need to do these three simple things:

  • Join the Facebook Group at
  • Like the Competition post pinned to the top of the page.
  • Share the post to your wargaming friends.

The competition closes on Sunday 6 March and the winner will be announced on Tuesday 8 March. Other inititatives will be announced via the website and Facebook, so now is a great time to get involved.
