Via Ludibunda: Real 3D Fantasy Scenery to Print for RPG and Wargames Kickstarter

Just received news that the team over at Via Ludibunda has launched a Kickstarter to fund the digital designs to 3D print an entire fantasy village without breaking the bank.

A look at the Kickstarter reveals several pledges containing digital files to 3D print your own modular fantasy buildings. So you won't be receiving any physical products but the files needed to print your own scenery with your personal or group shared 3D printer. There have been several campaigns lately from other companies with the same idea so nothing new but maybe interesting for people owning a 3D printer but lacking the time, software or skill to create their own digital designs.

The Kickstarter also shows the printed results using an array of cheap 3D printers although the roof looks good enough, I'm not so impressed by the shown quality of the printed dog house. That said when looking at the other examples of the actually printed buildings, they look quite good. Not sure which printer was used to print these but I think it's one of the more expensive ones.

For those interested in 3D printing their own terrain or experimenting with the 3D printer at work or the local design hub, you can actually download a free sample to check the file quality yourself. So interested in checking this Kickstarter? Take a look here.
