Vorpalia Games: Race Reckless - Dice Drivin Retro Racing Boardgame Announced

Vorpalia Games: Dear Vorpal friends, We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of our new project, Dice Drivin, from Rodrigo Gonzalez, acclaimed author of OmertĂ , Sayrun and No Time for Heroes, .

Dice Drivin is a handheld game that simulates a competition without truce between pilots mounted in their cars. Managing the capabilities of our vehicle will be essential, giving maximum when necessary, being risky or reckless at times, but at the risk of a victory or an accident in the very last second.

In short: "You decide if you want to win, you decide if you want to risk."

Dice Drivin is designed for up to four players, set in car racing with a retro touch, which remind us so endearing games like Road Fighter, Formula 1 Spirit or even the legendary Spy Hunter. In our game we will give much importance to the tokens and dice, over the cards, which does not mean randomness but managing and organizing your rolls based on careful consume of your resources, peppered with an arcade twist. The dice included in the game present modified faces portraying those resources, from power steering to taking risks.

About the author and publisher

Both Rodrigo and Vorpalia are very excited about the project because it represents an evolutionary leap in the hands of a noted author, exploring new areas and games, currently under design.

Vorpalia is a small and humble Spanish publishing, which aims to reinvigorate board games and RPG games, with innovative ideas and proposals as possible, giving access to all audiences to products in which we put every effort and care.

How to play?

In each leg of the race, printed on the cardboard pieces that represents a part of the circuit, players will find some requirements to advance through each of the boxes. To achieve this, players must roll the number of dice they want (limited by the characteristics of his car) with a choice of power dice (max 3), switching (max 3) or nitro (max 2).

Combining the results, they will try to move as close as possible, with the player himself deciding the type of dice that will use, adapting to the characteristics of a circuit changing or going to the limit of its possibilities. But beware: you can get the "Crash" result, which can hinder the player or, even, make hin run the risk of losing the race.

Although the game has gone through a deep and rigorous phase of testing, we keep working hard, in order to announce its launch as soon as possible. With this purpose in mind, we have organized the Dice Drivin on the Road Tour 2015. If you are part of a club, association, shop or you're a fan who want to know more about the vibrant Dice Drivin experence, do not hesitate, contact us at dicedrivin@vorpalia.net Welcome to the race !!!!
