Thundercloud Miniatures has recently launch their first Kickstarter to fund their Heroes of Avendora miniatures.
This of course is the important thing – what exactly are you giving your hard-earned cash to? This Kickstarter will see the completion of the hero class range of fantasy miniatures for the skirmish tabletop wargame of Avendora. Four of the heroes are already fully sculpted and are available below. Our initial stretch goal will see the Blademaster brought into existence, and then work on the infantry units can begin for each of the factions set within Avendora.
All miniatures are cast in high quality resin and are what we are calling ‘30mm scale’; individual miniature heights varying to reflect their background description. This was a conscious choice as we have always found it odd that in the world of wargaming everyone is always exactly the same size…In Avendora, if a creature is a hulking brute or a diminutive wretch, you’ll know about it!
This is our first foray into sharing our world with the gaming community, and to show we are serious about delivering quality, we’ve worked with artists who share our passion for Avendora, and in capturing its essence in the prints and miniatures you see below. We’ve also ensured that we can deliver the goods; as you can see the core hero range has already been sculpted; once the Kickstarter has done it’s Kickstarting, we’ll be straight into full production and your goodies will be with you as soon as humanly possible.
We want to show you that we can provide you with something special for your collection, and your gaming experience, and we really do appreciate the support that is given via Kickstarter. Sharing is the new power in the world, and the more people embrace the opportunity to be part of something new, the more creativity is set free, and that can only be a good thing. Please come along for this particular ride into that world of creativity.
So how does this Kickstarter work? We are conscious that everyone is different, so we have a simple structure, we have 4 pledge levels for each of the initial miniatures. Once you've picked the appropriate level, simply add on the price each additional model you want to your pledge total, and we'll contact you after the closing date to get a full list of your order. Of course, what’s a Kickstarter without an initial incentive…? The one exception to the above structure is a special pledge for all 4 Avendora Heroes, at a discount against pledging for each miniature separately…did someone say ‘bargain’? Yes…me. Bargain!
