Dark Age Games: Dark Age is a skirmish wargame set against a dark background. The harsh environment is reminiscent of a post-apocalyptic landscape with blasted deserts, derelict colonial settlements and hazardous fauna. The system uses the now familiar alternate unit activation mechanism and a fast but effective D20 lead attack resolution. The miniatures are all impressive and of very high quality and the factions all have a unique feel. The simple character statistics makes the game very easy to pick up and current wargamers will feel at home with the rules.
Dark Age has a very low entry cost with some of the new starter sets at under the £25 mark and the hard back, full colour rulebooks are bursting with art and look fantastic. The new starter boxes feature different miniatures to the previous boxes as well as the stat cards. These new core warbands are now available through Wayland Games.
